They will not accept that there are other ways to live.

The correct answer is to let them continue down the road to perdition and. do. something. else.

Chrishttp://blog.pukeko.net.nznoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8358039.post-8465839367186097562012-11-03T14:23:00.192-07:002012-11-03T14:23:00.192-07:00Cap'n - thanks for the tip on the article.
...Cap'n - thanks for the tip on the article.

Though I discovered this little corner of the internet and its conversation a couple years ago, every time I think I've fully digested the Red Pill I once again am crushed by further revelations like these. Maybe I'm too optimistic for my own good. Maybe I'm a slow learner. Maybe I just need more scar tissue.

I'm presently going through a bout of upheaval in my social circles. It hurts like hell, but learning what I have from you and the other excellent writers in the manosphere has helped me to better understand what is going on and it mitigates the pain. I wish I could go back twenty years with a 3 ring binder full of these posts and give it to my younger self.

I was able to extricate myself out of a dead-end relationship with a divorced, ex(?)-carousel riding, single "mother" in the last few months because of what I have been shown and what I have managed to get through my thick skull and slowly, carefully, I am trying to introduce these concepts to my male co-workers and family members.

I don't think I can adequately express the depth of my gratitude to you but, please, understand that it is there and it is heartfelt.

-CedarFeverAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8358039.post-39999369873848301272012-11-03T13:12:35.049-07:002012-11-03T13:12:35.049-07:001. "...why do we have to wait until an official study comes out to confirm what we already know through human intuition and observation?"

We don't really have to wait, but it is disgusting how many people need a Ph.D. to tell them the sun rises in the East before it sinks in. Ignorance is obstinate.

2. "Why does it take society 4 decades to point out facts and truth, or better yet, why is society so afraid of facts and truth?"

Political correctness is the self-interesed and artificial elevation of sentimentality over objective truth. Read David Hume. Human beings casually flirt with logic and reason, but they fuck like rabbits with whatever gratifies their ego. That is why Baumeister's work needs to be circulated as strongly and widely as possible.

3. "And why do such purveyors of truth get socially ostracized for pointing out the truth?"

Why do people kill the messenger? Because most people are rock stupid. Again, people, once in love with a pretty lie (as Roissy puts it), will jealously protect that lie if it makes them feel good about themselves.

Thank you for agreeing to write something about the paper. I have been following Baumeister's work on human relationships and self-regulation for almost 20 years and have corresponded with him. His is a rare and intelligent voice, and in matters adderssing feminism and its toxic influence in society, we need all the intelligence we can get.

Thanks again, Cappy!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
