Just about all the towns and people in this part of the state are ultra-conservative. And definitely big on "work ethic".

The "high country" of it's remaining western 2/3 are mostly resort towns and tourist traps, with their "natural mineral hot springs" and ski lodges. Very scenic, yes, but also too elitist.Tal Hartsfeldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05077424958233740898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8358039.post-53583974956575932962017-09-15T20:27:21.230-07:002017-09-15T20:27:21.230-07:00This might be the prettiest part of Colorado. Park the bike for a day and rent a jeep (It's a nice little drinking town with a jeeping problem).
On the back roads it's amazing how exciting life can be at 15 mph.Mark Reardonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8358039.post-87382703293847665332017-09-14T00:01:00.542-07:002017-09-14T00:01:00.542-07:00I grew up not far from this area and can confirm a...I grew up not far from this area and can confirm about the assholes. Part of it is money, the other part of it is watching their kids get the snot beat out of them in competitive sports for the last 20 years or more by dirt poor mountain kids. Ah the cycle of life.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14276404414034109450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8358039.post-22144966057690792582017-09-13T21:21:51.563-07:002017-09-13T21:21:51.563-07:00I couldn't agree with you more. BTW, same comment for Aspen - nothing but assholes there.Swedehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01775312335071647413noreply@blogger.com
