Well I must admit, this is one heck of a chart.

Remember, a $25 prize and a fancy schmancy SIGNED photograph of the Captain in an exquisite Goodwill purchased picture frame will be mailed to the winner!
Think you have a better chart?
Send it to captcapitalism@yahoo.com
I particularly like how it graphically demonstrates the steady increase in government revenues from gas taxes, regardless of how well the industry actually performed.
ReplyDeleteThe source provides a little more detailed look, for instance, there is one year where government gas tax revenue was 9x the Oil Industry profit. so tell me, who's reaping the windfall from skyrocketing prices in the wake of hurricanes?

p.s. - if you could link to my site /blog, otherwise, you'll just lead people to a voluminous selection of stories detailing my rampant alcohol abuse.
They were from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. They were cited, when I cropped the picture though, I accidentally deleted the citation.
ReplyDeleteAnd Doink, what's the blog? I thought I did link it to your site?
Here's the link BTD;
ReplyDeletehttp://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/1139.html
you linked to http://blamp.com, which is my domain
ReplyDeletethe blog is at http://blamp.com/blog
i don't think there's a link from the main page to the blog b/c the content is so different. On the main site, it's basically stories about how irresponsible I can be when alcohol is involved. On the blog, it's my austro-libertarian takes on relevant economic/political issues.
Ah, I can see it now. The title will not cause any confusion;
ReplyDelete"The Captain and Doink."
