As I recall, the author of "Goodnight, Moon" has already had his ciggy airbrushed out in his photo, since the little rugmonkeys can't see him with a smoke; might damage their sensitive eyes, after all. Also, as noted, Mr. Churchill will have to be substantially revamped, since he not only smoked like a chimney, but carried around personal weaponry.
For that matter, I shudder to think what the little darlings will think when they start in on the American Civil War. Furthermore, I find it delicious that, in "Texas Tom", Tom and Jerry can gleefully shoot each other, brand each other and drag each other over a cactus, but God forbid Tom light up.

How about the Donald Duck cartoon promoting income taxes? I think that's far more destructive to young minds than a fat cat smoking a cee-gar.
