I agreee; Senator Thompson is going to throw his hat into the ring. He is apparently waiting until a movie he's appearing in clears its premiere so as not to run afoul of current campaign laws.
After such a stinging slap delivered to Mr. Moore, Senator Thompson's popularity has to have gone up in GOP eyes across the nation.
Although I have been reading your blog for a long time, I don't know you position on pro-life/choice.
Fred Thompson is decidedly pro-life, which is against classical liberal principles. And although I think that he'd be a good president with a sound economy policy, it bothers me. Then again, I don't live in the US, so it shouldn't bother me ;-)

I would love to see him run - even just the Republican debates would finally be interesting! Not to mention what they would be like later.
