Anthropology sort of claims that taboos are "made-up" and culture dependent so it almost makes sense that they'd be the most "liberated". As a neuroscientist myself, though, I can't quite explain why Neuroscience is in third place; except that it might be that we realize that all of our desires/behaviors are hard-wired which may lead to the conclusion that there's nothing wrong with giving in to them. I do find it striking that there's such a disparity between Neuroscience and Biology.
Reminder: Wellesley College is an all-woman college. Notable allumnae: Madeline Albright, Norah Ephron, Cokie Roberts, Diane Sawyer, and Her Thighness, Hillary Rodham Cliton, so I'd take any sampling from there in the range of "not very valid."
Evidently, studio artists are sluts.

ReplyDeleteThis explains why so many computer science majors are ex-math majors.
ReplyDeleteThe sample sizes may be questionable. I mean, how many people could there possibly be in a Neuroscience program?
ReplyDeleteI am surprised computer science is not higher on the list.
ReplyDeleteI knew there was a reason why I didn't get laid in college...I hung out with poli sci chicks.
