Ha! Thanks for posting that link. The comparison of Congress not reading the stimulus bill in observation of the 20-year anniversary of the Ayatollah condemning Salman Rushdie after not reading Satanic Verses was brilliant.
Didn't they do this whole "Rush to pass laws we didn't read" thing with the Patriot Act as well?
Why do we even have elected officials? I mean, other than their ability to evoke emotional responses in an uneducated and disinterested public, all they seem to do is flail around to let people know they're doing something.
