Stop Blaming it on Bush

The most obvious criticism of Obama is that he is spending too much.

The knee-jerk, complete lack of thinking and intellectually honesty response from brainwashed leftists, particularly the youth, is that Obama is just carrying on what Bush started.

Try to show them figures. Try to explain Obama "quadrupled down" on what Bush did (which behooves the question why was GW so bad when Obama is Bush X's 4). They still PURPOSELY CHOOSE TO IGNORE REALITY and still blame it on Bush.

Ergo, I get sick of these infantile arguments from infantile children who just want to bitch and cheer for socialism and not ever grow up and have an adult conversation. But the little video below might, just might, get these Obama/Socialism zealots the slap across the face they need;

  1. But, isn't Obama only doing that because he inherited the Bush debt?

    Sorry.

It took about 15 minutes to write that comment because I broke out laughing hysterical every time I though about what I was going to write.

Face it. It will always be Bush and the Republican's fault. Always.

  2. Bush's main contribution to the deficit was reversing eight consecutive years of military budget cuts from Clinton and repairing the damage from ignoring the growth of Al Qaeda during those same eight years.

We cashed in Clinton's peace dividend on 9/11.

Bush could be criticized by conservatives for pushing prescription drug benefits for Medicare, but liberals dare not do the same because they were 100% for it too.

Bush also inherited a recession which began before he took office. That recession dwindled tax revenues.

Clinton also backloaded hundreds of billions of dollars of spending to 2000. That's like having a meal and handing the check to the person who takes the table after you.

I clearly remember an Oval Office briefing by Clinton where he showed the deficit falling through 2000 and then rising immediately after that. He strategically reached around the chart and traced the graph downward with his left index finger. He stopped at the bottom with the rising portion of the chart blocked by his hand.

Obama is Clinton's third term: a slick liar running on amorphous concepts of "hope" and "change".

    Excellent post, Dr. Miller.

I don't have anything to add, but right now and for the forseeable future, everything bad will be Bush's fault and everything good PO will take credit for.

That's largely a failure of the press to do their jobs. But then again, had the press done their job, PO wouldn't be President, he'd be a crooked Senator from a equally crooked state.

The question I have is how long will it be until Obama is actually held accountable for something?

Second question - what type of major event would it take to force Obama's accountability? Would it take another successful terrorist attack on US soil? A nuclear strike on the US by North Korea or Iran striking Israel? Collapse of our economy.

  4. I showed that video to an Obamanaut, and sure as stink on shi.... well, his first response was Obama inherited Bush's deficit.

So, I patiently explained the difference between debt and deficit.

Then he reminded me that Bush inherited the Clinton surplus.

To which I again explained the difference between deficit and debt.

And, Bush doubled the national debt.

Ah, maybe I am getting through here. He is seeing debt as a separate entity from deficit. But, I did have to go for the slam dunk. If Bush inherited a surplus, how could he double a debt? Double nothing is nothing, right?

Whoops, went too far with that one. Pushed him right back to hope, dream, and change land.

I got this one. Obama is going to be incurring that debt because he is going to fix healthcare, especially Medicare and Medicaid, which are bleeding the worst.

Now I am beginning to understand.

OK, what is wrong with healthcare, aside from the parts of the healthcare industry that are currently being run by the Government? AND, you expect the Government to fix it?

Nope, it will always be Bush's fault. Obama farts fresh baked bread.
