I'm under the impression it's Earth Day or something today.
Whether it is or not, it's always a good day to drive your 8 cylinder car around. I have an old GM car, the tires on which are NOT inflated properly. I shall drive it.
I will go to the grocery store and ask them to double bag.
I will then burn the bags.
I will also grill a steak because cows emit carbon and to grill I will have to use fossil fuels to heat it.
Do your share to emit more carbon than the phonies claim to save.

Check the Pres and VP flying around New York for Earth day.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing the World needs, is a UN holiday.
I adjusted the mixture on my KLR650, put on a few miles with a little extra black smoke sputtering out behind me. It felt good.
ReplyDeleteA ninja 250 is what I drive. 65 MPG. So today I am DEFINTELY NOT DRIVING IT.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I always use shopping bags to line my trash can. They tend to be the best fit for some reason.
ReplyDeleteHowever I do nothing special to celebrate earth day....in fact, I don't celebrate earth day.
In celebration of Earth Day, I will burn hydrocarbons that have been trapped for so long beneath the Earth's surface, and restore the carbon contained in these substances to the atmosphere where they belong, fueling the processes of life.
ReplyDeleteI think I got most of you beat. My old barn 40 by 60 ft plus a 20 by 12 dairy parlor was burned recently as a training exercise for the local fire department. It was to the point of falling down. Lots of black, dirty smoke and of course C02.
ReplyDeleteFor good measure, the department also burned my brush and construction debris pile - about 12 by 24 by 6 high.
Now it's time to tear down the cinder block walls and busted up concrete floor, which will generate lots of non-recyclable waste.
Happy Vladimir Lenin's Birthday, um er, I mean Earth Day. Coincidence, I think not...
ReplyDeleteWe should celebrate Venus Day.
ReplyDeletePravda tried to promote Earth Day in the Great White North. They got four comments.

Sadly driving to Melfort with a V6 lacks the thrill of an 8. Maybe next year I will celebrate Earth Day with a supercharger and a new cam.
