Official report from the Fed. Since I'm on vacation, anybody want to read it and tell me if they mention engineering degrees and the disproportionality of this recession on male-dominated industries?
The report references "significantly fewer women in highly paid occupations in law, medicine, and business management." No mention of the disproportionate effects of the economic decline on males.
Really interesting to see that the wage gap is an almost constant amount of around $100, and that most of the "closing" is due to overall increases in wage levels, making that constant amount a smaller percentage.
