The interesting part (and I did not do the proper research before making this statement) is that most of those low tax states are weathering the national recession pretty well. I am sure Texas is doing just fine, and Alaska (despite the fact that most of the money earned in Alaska fishing, oil, and mining goes in the pockets of Washington state residents) is doing pretty well as well.
Funny, the libs always say there is no correlation between low taxes and economic gains, and maybe it is impossible to prove, but the empirical evidence is tough to argue against.
