So I'm out west, decided to stop in Casper enroute to Kemmerer which is reported to have fish fossils. And I happen upon a nice little funeral home;
Ah the west, no state income taxes, great fossils, and cheap gas, but some pretty interesting people.
Is this the welcome sign when you enter the city?
ReplyDeleteI never underestimate the ignorance or overesrtimate the character of people who live in a city whose name is misspelled. :)
I like it... it puts a more lighthearted spin in the deadly (!) serious business of undertaking.
ReplyDeleteSo, what does the Newcomer family name their mortuary if not that?
Ok, I fail to see the fail part.
ReplyDeleteI mean, seriously, the new people in town need a funeral home too. :-)
I don't know Cap... this has always been one of my personal favorites.

My family went to Kemmerer and came back with about 50 lbs of slate, each piece having some fossil embedded in it.
ReplyDeleteCan't say I'm familiar with this one. Bustard's on CY Avenue is the one my family has historically used.
ReplyDeleteHow'd you end up running into this one? Its not like it's right off I-25...
Elusive,
ReplyDeleteYou in Casper???
I'm heading back through that area sometime this week.
Cpt.
Cap'n,
ReplyDeleteNot any more. We moved away in '87. I still have family there, though, so I visit from time to time.
OT: captcha: "kilit". How appropriate.
