You don't get all the benefits of marriage and none of the costs. If you leave then you don't get Alimony. It really should be that simple. And no one starts beating their wife after they're married. If they were going to beat their wife, chances are they were beating their gf and she still decided to get married. Most women who leave their husbands do it because they're "bored" not because he's beating her..
So if you marry a woman with a degree and she stays home for a year and then leaves you, it's your job to provide her with income proportionate to whatever job she might have landed if she hadn't gotten married, given her degree?
Way to create disincentives against marrying an educated woman. There won't be any long term negative consequences from that sort of policy, surely.

Wow, that was some hilarious stuck-pig sorta squealing there. I don't know why she's worried. Women need a man like a fish needs a bicycle. So what's the problem here?
I was a bit confused when I saw at the top of the article where it said "News", but all I saw was this poor pitiful woman's opinions on how bad this law would be for female mooches like herself. I almost felt sorry for her. She must have seen her meal ticket blowing off in the wind. Very upsetting for sure.

So it should be a principle of alimony that a woman should be compensated for an opportunity she didn't want?
