As to your cigar smoking, I think you will enjoy smoking more if you make sure that the entire foot of the cigar is lit before you smoke it. This will ensure an even burn.
Also, the less you scorch the foot of the cigar, the more pleasurable the first puffs of the cigar will be (because the tobacco won't be burnt). You can accomplish this by increasing the distance between your match (or lighter) and the cigar (ideally, you would use the entirety of 3-4 long matches to get the cigar lit).
However,it was outside and I was just there to film a video. Normally I have my butane lighter that lights evenly, I was relegated to a match that day.
