I actually have no preference one way or another whether women serve in the front lines or in combat roles. I really don't. However, here is the view of a veteran on women in combat.
I would say 50% of the reason I'm linking to him is to juxtapose the words coming out of his mouth (which make it very clear he cares about women very much) and the vitriolic response he no doubt would receive from various factions of leftists and feminists. I also like to juxtapose his factual statements (women's physical fitness requirements being lowered) and the fact this would result in "more people being killed" versus the emotional and egotistical arguments that will be tendered by the left, which means I guess people's feelings really ARE more important than other people's lives.
It's not about putting women in combat roles. That is just the usual leftist turd polishing.
ReplyDeleteI think that the left is trying to kill two birds with one stone. Liberals hate the military and they hate service men. I think they are going to try and do an end run around us and use sleight of hand to turn the military into an affirmative action effort for women.
Hand the military over to the vaginas, neutralize the actual soldiers so they can't do anything - and the liberal's work is done.
They are clever bastids. Evil as hell...but clever.
Anon #1: What you said.
ReplyDeleteThe man in the video made some good points, but this isn't about a government works program. If it were, we wouldn't have only one soldier for every 300+ citizens today, as compared to one out of every 150 less than twenty years ago even after the end of the cold war. The goal is annihilation of the military.
Nonsense. Ask any American vet about the performance of Canadian troops in combat. Then realize that Canada has allowed women in the combat arms since the 80's.
ReplyDeleteOf course, what ends up happening is that women only make up about 1.5% of the combat arms. Most aren't suited to it, and most have no interest in it. But those who do join, and get through the training ... they're more than capable of pulling their own weight. I'd take one of them as a fire-team partner any day, rather than some internet anon whining about the feminization of the military.
