Once again, your predictions have been proven correct. Many college graduates don't have proper math and science foundations and even college presidents are starting to admit it! Something is seriously wrong.
For a young woman a reasonable course of action would be to spend a year getting a diploma from a secretarial school. Their graduates are usually well employable. THEN take a decision about a degree. A degree in anything reasonable PLUS a secretarial diploma is a very good combination.
