This is a sad, but a hopeful story in that our protagonist is fighting the good fight on multiple fronts. However, his latest enemy is manifesting itself in boys without fathers. Nothing good comes from children without them (and please don't send me anecdotal stories about this one time, at band camp, I knew this kid, and he didn't have a father and like, he became a surgeon!).
Good fathers are required. Absolutely.
ReplyDeleteThe sad part is that sometimes it's better to not have a father present if he's: a) abusive emotionally or physically (there are 20 types of abuse)
b) a serial philanderer c) an addict of any type d) neglectful.
There are far too many fathers like this and the damage they do is generational in nature.
And yes, the same can and should be said for mothers that display these characteristics.

ReplyDeleteNot at all. But he did become a good porn star.
What I worry about,as a Dad,is that in 20 years, with the femnaziation of boys in school, sports, etc.,is there even going to be someone left to show the boys how to throw a ball?Or fish?
