Great advice. Even if you can afford a car payment, it prevents you from building up wealth. I realized this years ago and not having car payments has allowed me to be debt free and accumulate capital and enjoy the the fruit of my labor instead of sending it to a bank every month. There are plenty of used cars with low miles and good condition out there, you just have to look around and negotiate. Much better to drive used car in good condition and laugh at the suckers that think they are impressing people with their Mercedes and $700 payment, not to mention the full coverage insurance. Personally I enjoy sleeping peacefully knowing I am debt free, with three nice (but not luxury) cars paid off and money in the bank. Beats the hell out of impressing people I don't know or really care to.
One of the most annoying things about this time of year are the luxury car commercials where the husband buys his wife a car and surprises her with a big bow on it. Who does that? I've only met one in my time, a pastor married to a gyno doctor. Rich, Leftist Christians are the worst in their hypocrisy.
It bugs me that the children are invulnerable in Fallout 3. In the original Fallout some of them would steal random items from your inventory, so I would dump all of my gear outside, arm a timed explosive and stick it back in my inventory, then wander past them.
My advice for buying anything on payments is that you should own it for (at least) twice as long as you were making payments; and it is best if you own it for 3 to 4 times as long as you were making payments.
This (of course) also implies that you're saving the equivalent amount when you're not making payments though.
You are so spot on young man. When my femcunt lawyer bitch ex divorced me I grabbed my ira from her greedy hands and bought a Civic SI. At the last track day, I totally owned some douchbag driving daddy's 911. You preach quality. There is great wisdom in you
You have great wisdom for one so youthful. In 2011, my femcunt lawyer ex divorced me. I was able to liquidate a small ira I had and bought a Civic SI. The last track day I did, I totally owned some douchbag my son's age driving his leased 911. I love your stuff.

Worse still... LEASING a showoff-mobile. So far, I've only met one male who actually does that.
