I already started giving up one vice: spending too much time in online debates with people that don't matter on topics that don't matter. I promised myself two weeks ago that I'd stop when I realized how much time and energy I was wasting on shit that doesn't matter.
I invested the time instead on learning MySQL database environment and getting busy on the EMC SAN training that I was promised at work. What a huge difference getting offline made! I am making huge strides in both the MySQL and the SAN training, and I also found the time to get my saddle club's web site redesigned and add some new features.
Off topic, but I think you will really like it Cap.
Gin no Saji (Silver Spoon) - a manga about a guy that enrolled an agricultural high school. It touches many topics you like Cap. Most importantly it very well portrays the real life and struggles of farmers including financial problems and such. The good thing is that this manga does NOT hold back when dealing with stuff like debt, bankruptcy or dashed dreams.
However the most important lesson you can find in there is that life is a bitch and all you can do is to learn to deal with it.
