Flabbergasted.
Absolutely flabbergasted.
Cosby will go down, obviously, as a comedic legend. That much is sure. But if you watch Season 1, Episode 1 of "I Spy"
hey may just go down as a patriot and a model for all black men to follow.
Now if you'll excuse me I just found my new favorite show to watch.
Mr. Snow State.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding leadership - you are doing good work when leading others to a better entertainment experience - men taking risks and making things happen - men making each other better through professional camaraderie.

I almost think Cosby has hurt comedy by how great he is. Few people really try hard, knowing that they'll come up far behind him no matter how good they are. The most skilled people today (in any field) know how to accept freaks of nature for what they are, and just be the best they can be.
ReplyDeleteHis old stand up stuff is hilarious. His tonsils routine leaves me in stitches every time.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't know how awesome I Spy is?
ReplyDeleteYou poor man....
So, a couple of things.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, no matter how good you think Cosby is, remember you've likely only heard his recorded albums, which have been sanitized pre-Carlin. I've heard bootlegs of his live standup and he is both filthy and orders of magnitude funnier and more awesome. Dude deserves the title of Legend.
Second, I have been thinking of starting up a Facebook group or something called "Entertainment for Men" where like-minded people can suggest quality shows, movies, books etc. that haven't suffered from terminal estrogen poisoning. There's a lot of good stuff out there, but a lot of it's old, foreign, or hiding on the regional cable networks. I'm wondering if there would be interest in such a group.
Yea, he's a wonderful black role model.........oh except for the bastard child.
