Hey Cap'n! Since you're tooling around Vegas, you may be familiar with the mountain country East of Kingman in Arizona's central highlands.
The area is in Northern Arizona's rain-belts: the monsoon storms dump here, and the Pacific winter storms dump feet of snow, too. The forests are dense, and, if you want a solar-powered, rain-catch system to bug-out to, there is no better, affordable place.
If you can't tell yet, I'm writing to pitch you on buying my 40 acres 45 miles East of Kingman. It's a south-facing bowl at 5600 feet elevation, only 2.5 miles from Interstate 40, so the snow melts quickly, and you can be on 4-lanes of blacktop heading east or west in under 15 minutes.
If you've ever thought about picking up just such a place, send me an email. I'm willing to deal on it!
And keep up Asshole Advising. We need as much tough-love as we can get! -Steve 4hills@fourhills.net
