If you didn't know, a piece I wrote at ROK went viral and now I am of course being accused being a misogynist, woman hater simply because I refused to see Mad Max: Fury Road in fear of receiving yet another unwanted feminist or social justice lecture from Hollywood. Instead of answering all the requests for interviews (which no doubt would be butchered), I'm simply putting this video up as my official response to the media
However, despite the hubbub and drama, I am rapidly being proven right. The movie is increasingly looking like a feminist film, and so to (if you'll forgive the term) "raise awareness" to this fact I started a hashtag on twitter that I hope catches on. #madmaxfeministroad Hopefully, (unless the movie proves otherwise) we can save a lot of people a lot of money and a lot of time, and again, I am more than happy to watch the movie if it proves NOT to have a lecture on feminism or SJWing, etc. in it.
(I might also add that this is how you handle the liberal media, in case any spineless conservative politicians needed a couple pointers.)
Anyone notice how hollywood got around the feminist prohibition on men rescuing/saving women? Rescue/save children(even adult ones). As seen in the Taken series, Equalizer, Run All Night, John Wick(ok, that was dog revenge). When was the last successful movie that showed a man rescuing/saving a non badass woman, the first Men In Black (Jupiter Ascending just came out and bombed)?
ReplyDeleteDog-revenge yeah, but of course Hollyweird somehow tried to make it about his dead wife. Gotta have them fem-percentages! At least being dead kept her from gumming up the film. They messed with the man's dog and got the burnt end of the wick. What could be more simple or satisfying?
ReplyDeleteSomebody got called a Misogynist? congrats and drinks all around.
I rarely see see modern movies because there is almost always a leftist / feminist lecture in there. Every time I break down and buy a ticket I walk out realizing I've been had.
ReplyDeleteAaron, you are getting more fame because of your article:

You hit the nail on the head Aaron. You have to understand how media is used as a medium to change society. Everything in it now has women taking the 'strong' role and portraying men as weak. If you've read Game of Thrones you'll know what I'm talking about. I know you're not big on conspiracies, but I think eventually you'll come around to see that it's the result of a top-down, centralized agenda.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! The SJWs hate you even more now! That is what I call success in the 21st Century. You are correct, the movie is going to be craptacular. Something else Hollywood ruined. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteInstead of answering all the requests for interviews (which no doubt would be butchered), I'm simply putting this video up as my official response to the media
ReplyDeleteResponding with thoughtful talking points to brainstemming leftist media presstitutes and their equally brainless subscribers is both a pointless waste of your time and beneath your dignity. Nothing you can say, no matter how logical and clearly irrefutable, will ever sink in with that crowd.
Great job Clarey:

"Men’s rights activist calls for boycott of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’"
"The absurd comments come from Aaron Clarey who made the pathetic plea on men’s site Return of Kings where he wrote that he became concerned about the franchise’s latest film after watching the trailer."
The real wankers are the News.com writers.
Aaron,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your article. I now will pass wasting money on another ruined franchise. Pitch Perfect 2 would be a better movie for teaching masculinity to your sons.
Excellent response. I haven't been to a movie in five years and I obviously haven't missed much.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly got all the douches riled up over at Vice.com. Nothing to lose any sleep over, Cappy. Not even worth a link.
ReplyDeleteHere is Australia your efforts on ROK didn't go un-noticed...

Unfortunately they disabled the comments section so I couldn't wade in and rip on their white-knight pussy whipped mangina article.
Hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteThe Independent ran a hit piece on you! The culture battle IS heating up. From my lofty perch in The Peanut Gallery:
They are ragging on you for not knowing where this movie was made or having seen it. Your objection to it has many claiming that they MUST go see it now as a result.
Many of them are also bragging about their refusal to read what you wrote, and their refusal to read or tolerate sites like ROK.
You argue with idiots Aaron. Vox Day is the only man to successfully win arguments with SJW morons, Captain... But it cost him credibility and respect. It may yet cost him court time.
Whatever. My battle with these turd brains is mostly covert and anonymous. Without the exposure and support you guys have it is the most effective way to undermine the progs and femcnuts that are destroying our families and communities.
I may not even RENT this movie now. If you could give us the heads up on pink fiction I would appreciate it. I too am sick of socialist lectures posing as entertainment.
Mad Max delivers everything it promises. Most of the recent big-budget blockbusters (like Avengers) have only been so-so.
ReplyDeleteI've already convinced two of my friends to skip this movie. Then I direct them to your articles.
ReplyDeleteTo tell the honest truth, watching the 2nd trailer (iirc) put up a red flag and caused me to wonder about this movie. Then your article and the backlash just solidified my resolve to skip it.
We're getting the word out.
Aaron, you're on the Daily Mail newspaper:

Aaron,
ReplyDeleteOn a train yesterday in Melbourne I noticed one of those free crappy "newspapers" that they give out for free when you're boarding. Picking it up, the front page was all about the fury of the fury unleashed by someone who had the nerve to point out that it might be about femos.
Your name was all over it. They don't seem to like you very much. It gave me a nice warm glow though. Good to see the Cappy making inroads.
Adam.
Just found the official review of the film from the best Aussie film reviewer. It's behind a paywall, but I think you'll all like this quote:
ReplyDelete"...Whether deliberately or not, Furiosa becomes the film’s main character. She drives faster than Max, she shoots better than Max (at one point, after he’s missed a couple of crucial targets, she takes over and scores a bullseye) and she’s marginally more interesting than Max."

Captain,
ReplyDeleteCongrats, I've just heard a white knight bitch about your article in real life. You've really put their tits in a wringer over this one.
Keep up the great work, sir!
Holy FUCK aaron, you've stirred up the hive! Check it out

Hi Cappy. I've just been to see Fury Road, and I have to say I think you got it wrong. This is a VERY good film. Yes, Max plays second fiddle to Theron's character, but there's good reasons for that, the poor guy spends most of the first part of the film as a walking blood supply for one of the War Boys. Also, this is set between the first two films. Max is still badly traumatised by the loss of his family and being witness to the end of civilization, and it takes him a while to loosen up enough to say more than a few words. But I don't think Furiosa did anything that made me have issues with suspension of disbelief. Even the group they meet near the end (I won't say any more for spoiler's sake) felt realistic. Compare this with for example, the women characters (and the US ones for that matter) in the recent prequel for The Thing who were clearly there for box-office appeal, and frankly, because the writers didn't have the ability to make an all-male, all-Norwegian cast work.
ReplyDeleteThis film is just VERY entertaining! About 15 minutes into it I commented "Wow, this is really good!" Didn't have anything to change my mind about that for the rest of the film. And there were just these little details; the way the War Rig puts out a fire on the bonnet in a land where water is precious, the different fighting styles of the various factions, Joe's personality cult. I really do think this is worth seeing. If you don't want to reward the production, you can always torrent a cam version. But I think you should see this in the movie theatre to get the full effect.
Hey, I hate the feminization and cultural Marxism of our culture too, I just didn't think the elements of it in this film (and they ARE there) were enough to prevent it from being a film worth my money.
You didn't make the 6 o'clock news down here in New Zealand but you did make the national online msm

"A men's rights group have condemned the new action movie Mad Max: Fury Road because of a strong female character in the storyline.
Actress Charlize Theron stars as Furiosa, a character that has angered the men's group on the men's blog Return of Kings.
Despite glowing reviews, blogger Aaron Clarey wrote an article calling on men to not only boycott the film, but to encourage other men not to watch it either.
"Not only REFUSE to see the movie, but spread the word to as many men as possible," he wrote, describing the movie as a feminist "Trojan Horse" used to blur lines between masculinity and femininity.
He was not happy that Furiosa had "barked orders" at Mad Max.
