Hey, Cap'n, if you're heading back to Minnesnowta on the bike, I strongly recommend the road to Escalante, Utah. If you head initially east from Escalante, and then follow it (the only paved road out of there, Utah-12) up the north direction you will go through some of the most spectacular red-rock and erosion country on Earth. Take the time and stop at Calf Creek Canyon (there's a BLM campground there) and hike the trail up to the waterfall.
Be careful going further north, because we were on the bike one year and had 6 inches of snow fall at the higher elevations when we were heading towards Torrey. I was riding the 'Wing so slow that herd of mule deer actually ran past us to one side of the road.
Cap last year rented a Beemer our of AZ in Scottsdale and rode down to Bisbee, one of the few old Western looking towns left. Might go out again this March and ride up to Antelope Canyon. Take some pics if you get up there. Prob need heated gear tho..
But, but, slaving away in a cubicle is so much more rewarding they said.

Have fun.
Nice pics! Love it out there. Jerome was especially fun to visit, so much history.

ReplyDeleteMake your way up to Flagstaff if you're near Sedona. Flagstaff is one of the best cities in the country.
