When Millennials Try to Economics

Awwww they're so cute!

  1. The comments, while interspersed with some that still possess common sense, are thick with much of the same idiocy that led to the demand for a $15.00 minimum wage in the first place. Especially hilarious is the comment from one "David Harris" who claims that a pizza shop that charges $8.00 for a large pepperoni pizza that costs $2.00 to make is making a 300 percent profit on the sale. Clearly this little boy is unfamiliar with the concepts of "overhead" and "taxes." Maybe his mommy will explain them to him when he starts, school and is old enough to understand.

  2. As an incoming software engineer, I love a higher minimum wage. It'll boost R&D and automation spending from tech companies and in part of that I'll be richer.

I started my first job at 3.35 an hour and now I earn 38.40 an hour. By getting an education, working hard and moving up. The only adults working in fast food should be managers or part timers.

We have become a nation or self entitled slackers. I had to teach a recent college graduate how to mop a floor.

I hate to say it but the world of work is survival of the fittest.

If everyone in the U.S. instantly acquired one million dollars, a penny's worth of candy would immediately cost ten thousand dollars. Perhaps not precisely but it would certainly zero out the value for existing coin and paper currency. Math.

Double the salary of unskilled labor and the ripple through the economy jumps the price of everything associated with those jobs unless technology steps up and self-service forces the customer to do the job instead. Math.

"...Jeran will only see a bigger paycheck until August when his boss has to shut down her Z Pizza location, putting him and his 11 co-workers out of work..."

How does it feel to be a 'Useful Idiot'?

"...The organization that pushed for the higher minimum wage, 15 Now Seattle, wouldn’t comment directly on the closing to Q13 and didn’t offer any sign of sympathy."

"didn't offer any sign of sympathy" -- can't say that I'm surprised, but these are the same Leftist pinheads whose entire public image is about being 'sympathetic' to the plights of the 'victims of evil capitalism'.

Didn't the collapse of the Soviet Union teach these Leftist morons ANYTHING about how Marxism/Socialism/Communism simply DOES NOT WORK?
