How oh how did I ever know before laying eyes on the name or picture of this "officer" that it was going to turn out to be a woman?
The Sex of the Chief People Officer tells you all you need to know about that job. Someone who couldn't manage to call themselves Head of Human Resources.
I'm guessing that this position didn't exist until she was hired... probably due to an affirmative action program.
Oh no.. It existed. Problem is we have to show we're hip and cool, so we have to give the position a cutsie name.
