Originally this video was a request from Asshole Consulting, but the more I researched Brave and it's underlying crypto-currency, "BAT's," it actually is an incredibly interesting feat of technology and economics. And given Brendan Eich's (the founder) firing from Mozilla for daring to make a political donation to a non-leftist cause, you may want to consider using the Brave browser henceforth.
Another reason to use Brave? Websites hijacking your browser to mine cryptocurrencies! No, you don't get any benefit from it. You just get your computer slowed down so some jerk can use your computer's processing power to ''mine'' coins for them!
ReplyDeleteBrave blocks them. To be fair, other browsers have extensions for this such as Firefox and Chrome.
Did somebody say ''scam''?
I have used the Brave browser for about a year and I can recommend it wholeheartedly.
ReplyDeleteExcept Brave is built on the slow, bloated, non-configurable pile of shit that is Blink, Chrome's underlying engine. It has been a long time since the last time Chrome was faster than Firefox.
ReplyDeleteBeen using Brave for about 9 months across all of my computers. It performs very well and I am very happy with it. I have also enrolled for BATs, so there's some of my BAT money with your name on them already.
ReplyDeleteIf Brave gets big the left will take it over.
ReplyDeleteBetter idea is to just have loads of small, independent browsers that compete for usage by marketing their lack of big brotherism.
I’ve been using Brave since the video debuted. I no longer get browser hacks popping up saying that you won , free stuff or there is a good looking women waiting to hear back from you, on Chrome and Safari it was always happening. Now I just need to figure out how to make Brave the go to web browser on the company I-phone

ReplyDeleteYou can't, unless Apple changed something recently. Apple: "it's our way or the highway".
