A long drive from Leavenworth, Washington to Tacoma Washington via Yakima. It was quicker to go that route than deal with traffic in Seattle and I wish I was joking. Also got to drive Yakima Canyon and 410 over the Chinook Pass which still had about 8 feet of snow on it.
Nice. My neck of the woods. I live up north of Seattle (well out of the sprawl) and I've ridden over there a lot. Other than being sort of cold and rainy most of the year, well that is also why it is green.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're on your way to an interview at the Overlook Hotel with Mr. Ullman.
ReplyDeletestop it ! stop making us jealous of your minimalist life. most of us are working 40 plus hours and our excitement is being able to sleep in on Saturday. dammit. we admit it. we have failed while you have placed out.
ReplyDeleteHi Capt. Most of my Relations are in the Yakima area, have driven that route more than once. Nice Drive. In addition to traffic, Seattle has one H of a street people/homeless/opioid issue going on, with is another good reason to take the long way 'round. Live in South Snohomish county, and will be leaving here in a few years (airplanes are still fun), till then I am staying out of King county and Seattle.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever come out this way again, do please stop in Richland, WA. I'll do what I can to get you a tour or Reactor B, where they made the plutonium for the Trinity site. Back when men were men, and slide rules were the closest thing to iPhones. :)
