Strong, Independent "Girl Boss" Needs Student Loan Bail Out

This is a bit old, but I cannot emphasize enough just how deluded some young women are about English words.

"Strong" and "independent" are words that have meaning.  And then if you act parasitic and stupid, demanding bailouts for your mistakes, you CANNOT be "strong" and "independent" as you are the antithesis of that.

But to call yourselves a "girl boss" or act as if you're a leader when you're nothing but a privileged panhandler playing make believe adult, I can't even begin to describe the stratosphereic levels of stupid and self-delusion some of these girls have.

I have arrived in Mexico last March, at a time when I had previously lived in Denver. The state of Colorado is known for its brutal cold and a mercurial weather, where the climate may change nearly a half a dozen times per day. I was paying $1700 per month for a 500 square foot apartment in the center of the city. The majority of my acquaintances and neighbors were hardened Politically Correct Ideologues and radical leftists. As it happens, my former boxing instructor from Colorado Springs has recently been found guilty of a sexual assault that he almost certainly did not commit.

Mexico is famous for its picturesque beaches, tropical climate and a hospitable culture. For good reasons, it is the seventh most visited country in the world, just behind France, Spain, the United States, China and Italy (https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/10-most-visited-countries-in-the-world.html). All of these aforementioned countries boast a highly developed economy and a significant percentage of visitors arrive for professional rather than recreational purposes. However, the overwhelming majority of the visitors in Mexico are tourists and that much is obvious: few foreigners find Mexico to be enticing place to conduct their business.

Mexico is attractive to tourists for obvious reasons: the prices are low, it’s close to the United States and the weather is ideal in the winter, just as when the snowbirds seek to escape the brutal cold that characterizes this season in most of North America. Yet, in recent years, Mexico witnessed a new phenomenon: a different type of a “gringo” emerged in this land. Not only are North Americans visiting Mexico on a short-term basis, many are becoming increasingly likely to live here for an extended period of time. The status of permanent residency is easy to acquire here and at one point, I encountered a crooked government official who was willing to sell that privilege to me for merely 80,000 Mexican Pesos, which is a little more than four thousand U.S dollars. For many compelling reasons, I have politely declined, yet in my place, many would have gladly jumped on that opportunity.

The question of why this poverty-stricken nation is flooded by residents from its affluent neighbor to the north appears counter-intuitive at first sight, yet, it is only a little interesting and it can be explained in terms of basic economics. It is evident that the Baby Boomer generation are approaching their retirement years and in contrast to their next-elders, the Silent generation, the Boomers are not known for their ability to accumulate wealth. As the eminent modern demographers, Neil Howe and William Strauss have concluded (https://www.amazon.com/Generations-History-Americas-Future-1584/dp/0688119123/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=Generations&qid=1575710455&sr=8-2), the Silent generation have reputed themselves as decent, prosperous and morally upstanding people. While they had their flaws such as indecision, meekness and a tendency to engage in hands off parenting which led Gen-Xers to become the “latchkey kids” in youth and enterprising free agents as adults, the Silent generation are generally remembered for their deep sense of decency. As such, they had tended to have their affairs in order, they earned respect from their children (even if they didn’t approve of their hands off parenting style) and they had taken care of their financial circumstances.

With the Baby Boomers, the story is quite different and they have emerged as the first generation in American history to be worse off than their parents at retirement age. The financial insecurity of today’s senior citizens is hardly the most distinctive point in the glaring contrast between the Boomers and their next-elders. The difference becomes the most apparent in light of how the elderly have been represented in movies and popular culture since approximately 2005. Since then, no-one thought of old-timers as respectable, discreet and upstanding senior citizens. Instead, a clip from the “Dirty Grandpa” or the “Bad Grandpa” paints the whole picture of what America’s seniors have degenerated into. To be sure, prior to this generational shift, the Silent Generation senior citizens had retired in Mexico, yet this phenomenon had been less common and less corrosive to the well-being of their host country.

It is no secret that the overwhelming majority of American expatriates in Mexico are Boomer retirees. The reason for this is simple: they had not saved nearly enough money to afford a proper retirement and their social security pension allows them to enjoy a decent living in a third world country from which they can frequently visit their family. As innocuous as this explanation may seem, when it comes to the Boomer generation, things are never as they appear to be. Behind the façade of the convivial senior citizens enjoying their drinks at a bar on a Puerto Vallarta boardwalk, there lies a much grimmer, more sinister reality. “Gringo raboverde” is an expression I’ve heard more than just on a few occasions and literally, it translates from Spanish as “green tail”. Yet, it actually refers to a lecherous White man who is obsessed with teenage girls, many of whom are under-age.

Of course, nothing is wrong with consensual intercourse between adults, yet many of these “gringo raboverde” stories border on pedophilia. It’s not at all uncommon for a 70-year old man who has been divorced five times to exploit a 13-year old prostitute who has been shipped to a touristy community from a backward, mafia-infested Mexican state like Michoacan or Guerrero. Human trafficking and sex slavery are a burgeoning industry in Mexico and no-one can be surprised that the victims of such crimes are taken to work in the lively night-life scene that panders to the appetites of the hypersexual Baby Boomer foreigners.

The other day, I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with an elderly Canadian manager of a restaurant by a popular beach in Puerto Vallarta “Playa de Los Muertos”. He let me on his personal story of how he came to PV in order to retire, but rapidly discovered that his life spun out of control. “I was having too much fun”, he remarked dejectedly. “So, I went through the trouble of getting a work visa so I can get my life together again and continue to live in paradise”. By all accounts, he appeared decent and forthright, I would have never suspected him of behaving in an ignominious manner that mars the reputation of Americans in Mexico. Fortunately, I am yet to discover a reason to think otherwise, but he then showed a picture of his much younger girlfriend who was certainly old enough to be considered an adult. Yet, the story had taken a darker twist when he disclosed that she lives in Guadalajara and works as a personal trainer. She narrowly managed to avoid being captured by criminals who almost certainly intended for her to work in the sex-slave industry. The story-teller was convinced that had she not been in her peak physical condition, she would have been much less fortunate.

Just four months earlier, my girlfriend and I had been robbed at gunpoint in the same city, just two blocks away from the U.S embassy in Guadalajara. We never bothered reporting the crime to the police because it is a simple waste of time (https://www.insightcrime.org/news/brief/mexico-impunity-levels-reach-99-study/). It is a well-documented fact that only a tiny fraction of crimes committed in Mexico result in a conviction. The exact number as to this country’s exact impunity rate varies between 93 and 99 percent, but no serious analyst believes that it could be lower than 90 percent. Only about seven percent of all crimes are reported because it is an extraordinarily arduous and an exceedingly time-consuming process. On average, the victims report having to visit between three to five offices in order to report even a relatively insignificant crime such as petty theft and the entire ordeal often takes an entire work-day, roughly between 9am and 4pm. Yet, many of such offices close between noon and 1:30, which means that if the petitioners have the resolve to continue, they must plan on turning this endeavor into a two or a three-day affair.

Even in the best case scenario where the police opt to investigate the reported crime, there is very little to hope for. Only 4.46 percent of all reported crimes result in convictions, which means that regardless of how damning the evidence may be, the overwhelming majority of crimes will be left completely unaddressed. In other words, no reasonable Mexican criminal is deterred by a fear of punishment, which is an essential reason why this country is home to a myriad of highly sophisticated organized crime syndicates that are among the most powerful in the entire world.

As for the white collar criminals and politicians who have bled their country dry, the chances of a conviction are close to zero. Michoacan is widely regarded as one of the most corrupt and crime ridden states in all of Mexico, it also holds the distinction of being the state of origin to the majority of underage strumpets in Mexico. The incident that is now known as the “Michoacanazo” is a clear case in point is to why Mexico is an immitigable failed state. In 2009, a substantial number of high-profile political figures in Michoacan were arrested on charged of corruption, abuse of office and collusion with organized crime. Yet, less than a year later, every single one of the defendants had been released, despite the mounting evidence attesting to their guilt.

Last year, a left-wing candidate, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador was elected president of Mexico and consistently with his left-wing platform, he advocated for eradicating cartel violence by investing in education and granting immunity from prosecution to low-level cartel operatives and farmers who partake in the manufacturing of narcotics. To be certain, it has never crossed his mind that police officers who earn less than 10,000 pesos ($500 USD) per month have absolutely no incentive to do their job when the local cartel will eagerly quintuple that amount to persuade them to do just the opposite. “Abrazos, no balazos!” , the Mexican president chanted. “Hugs, not bullets”, is what AMLO had to say when the military arrested the son of El Chapo Guzman in Culiacian, Sinaloa, but the cartel decimated the entire city in order to set him free (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/oct/30/mexico-el-chapo-son-ovidio-guzman-lopez-operation).

Foreign journalists continue to inquire as to how the Mexican government could have executed such a poorly planned operation and to be certain, no-one is willing to take any responsibility for that. Even more certainly, virtually nobody even began to entertain the obvious hypothesis that the Sinaloa cartel paid the AMLO administration in order to stage such an ill-conceived operation that resulted in windfall profits for the cartels and an unmitigated disaster for everyone else. In so doing, the Sinaloa cartel have demonstrated their military might and put pressure on other cartels to concede territory. However, they have also set a powerful precedent that this government is entirely ineffectual and it will never stop any criminal organization, no matter how weak or how small from simply doing as they please, provided only that they are not stopped by a superior organized crime unit.

Less than a month after the infamous Culiacan disaster, it has become clear that a criminal organization does not need to be as powerful as the Sinaloa cartel in order to begin making waves (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-12-03/is-it-safe-to-travel-to-san-miguel-mexico-2019). A much smaller organization made inroads into San Miguel de Allende recently, which is a small colonial town that has long been known to be home to various retirement communities for seniors from the United States and Canada. They have made their presence known simply by dropping a large amount of narcotics off at local business and insisting that they will be collecting the sales revenue in less than a month. Predictably, the businesses in question have simply shut down and resumed operations elsewhere.

The majority of liberal commentators in the U.S and Mexico would say that this is a fluke, a short-term setback on a long road to success in the president’s “hugs not bullets” strategy. Yet, the reality is that Thomas Hobbes had it right. “Life in the state of nature is solitary, brutish and short” and “Even the worst despot is preferable to complete anarchy”. For all his flaws, Saddam Hussein maintained a quasi-coherent regime in Iraq because he crushed the violent Islamist sects with an iron fist. Yet, when the United States deposed him, the state of nature broke out, the hardships of which drastically outweighed the worst abuses of Hussein’s tyranny.

Numerous Mexican left-wingers would insist that the aggressive interventionist policy of Felipe Calderon who took office in 2006 and started the notorious “Mexico’s war on drugs” was a complete disaster. In many respects, they are correct: Calderon may pride himself on his capture of the El Chapo and a decisive offensive on various cartels in his home state of Michoacan, but his exploits have left Mexico even worse off before he had gained presidency. By undermining the most powerful criminal organizations in Mexico, the Calderon administration unwittingly created a mini state of nature in various parts of Mexico. That is to say that in the absence of the nearly omnipotent cartels that governed each part of the country, there was virtually no government presence at all: that’s why there was a demand for cartels to create order in the first place. In other words, in an apparent effort to establish the Hobbesian Leviathan, Calderon inadvertently deprived those regions of the only hope of having any Leviathan at all in the guise of organized crime syndicates.

Under this pretext, AMLO rationalizes his policy of nearly total surrender to the onslaught of the cartels’ self-righteous sovereignty. The obvious solution to the problem is that the Mexican government needs to reclaim the legitimate authority of the state and the sovereignty over its territory. This can only be done if the state has the monopoly on violence and that is the only manner in which a genuine Leviathan can be established, which is the cornerstone of a civilized society. Mexico will not be able to achieve this objective on its own: this country is in desperate need of aid from the international community, especially the United States. Regrettably, the AMLO administration has absolutely no interest of receiving any foreign from any nation, the least of all the invidious Trump administration (https://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/amlo-declines-trump-offer-to-help/). Nonetheless, there are enough decent political and community leaders with a whiff of common-sense who are more than happy to consider Trump’s offer, which is desperately needed in this God forsaken land.

It is high-time that we set aside the vociferous partisan rhetoric characterizing our polity in the modern times across the world. No, the Donald Trump phenomenon is not unique to the United States. The zeitgeist of the modern era demands urgent solutions in response to the ongoing problems that have been neglected for decades. The Trump administration represents a neo-populist movement which embodies the citizenry’s ire at decades of institutional abuse, corruption and the government’s utter disregard for the public good. Victor Orban of Hungary, Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines, Vladimir Putin of Russia and even the Kirchners of Argentina are also similar cases in point. In his own way, AMLO is this type of a populist, but he is a misguided idealist, in the vein of the Old Major in George Orwell’s Animal Farm, which portrays the irresolvable failures of the archetypal leftist.

The practical solutions to Mexico’s ongoing crisis are as follows.

-Welcome all foreign aid and military intervention that serves the purpose of affirming the authority of the Mexican state and destroying the pseudo-Leviathans that the cartels intend to establish.

-Collaborate with the organized crime syndicates who are willing to align themselves with the Mexican state and their foreign allies. For example, if the Nuevo Generacion de Jalisco cartel that controls the Puerto Vallarta area intends to cooperate with the government in order to keep the piece in the tourist-centered areas of Mexico, they should be given preferential treatment over other organized crime syndicates.

-Instead of investing an exorbitant sum of money in Mexico’s education system when only 40% of the citizenry have a bank account, it makes much more sense to invest in law enforcement. Maslow’s hierarchy is predicated on a simple truism that before one can pursue lofty goals such as self-actualization that manifests in the guise of intellectual achievement, creative pursuits or spiritual enlightenment, one must first secure the most basic needs with regard to personal safety and creation of a community where talent may flourish. There is no way around it: it’s impossible to have security in a state where police officers depend on the criminals’ “tips” in order to survive.

-Legalize all narcotics. As controversial as this decision may be, it works: it is as simple as that. When the government legalizes narcotics, these dangerous substances are provided to the public by reputable business rather than the organized crime elements. Even if this course of action does not ameliorate Mexico’s problems with regard to drug addiction, it will certainly lead to a marked reduction in violent crime. Moreover, it is evident that this approach helped Portugal to not only reduce the incidence of drug-related violence, but also to empower their drug addicts to diminish their dependency on narcotics (https://transformdrugs.org/drug-decriminalisation-in-portugal-setting-the-record-straight/)

As for Americans who may be considering relocating to Mexico, I have the following advice.

-There are just two safe communities in Mexico: that’s the Vallarta area (including a few villages south of Puerto Vallarta and Rivera Nayarit, several small towns north of Vallarta in the neighboring state of Nayarit) and the Cancun area (That is Merida in the Yucatan Peninsula, Playa del Carmen and the smaller towns that are known to profit from tourism from the United States).

-When you arrive in Mexico, you will enjoy a much lower cost of living, but also a lower standard of living. Just imagine when you need to pay your electricity bill, you need to scour the entire city for what’s called the “CFE” office. There, you will find a machine that is almost certainly defunct and even if you get one to work, it will not accept a 500 peso bill, which is worth roughly $25 USD. Most Mexicans in your area will earn less than 5000 pesos per month (less than $250 dollars), so why on earth would they have a 500 peso bill and who in their right mind would install a machine that accepts such bills? If you want to exchange your 500 peso bill at a local business, good luck with that. Nobody carries that kind of change and even if they do, they won’t take your 500 peso bill because they know it will be a colossal pain in the ass to try to buy something with that. Just imagine someone coming to a small town in Wisconsin and asking local mom and pop shop operatives if they have change for a $1000 dollar bill. You will be frowned upon as if you were from another planet, I can guarantee you that. You should also get used to walking into a popular bank, which may even be from Spain (such as Santander or BBVA) where not a single ATM machine works. If one of them works, count yourself lucky to stand in line for 20 minutes in order to be able to withdraw just five dollars of your hard-earned money.

-Gringo prices are a fact of life. If you are of Caucasian descent, almost every Mexican will assume you are Bill Gates. Those folks don’t like to read much and as deplorable as America’s system of education may be, Mexico somehow managed to provide one that is even worse. A good one-third of the folks you’ll meet here will be functionally illiterate and they will automatically assume that simply because you’re White, you must be absolutely loaded. That means they need to charge you ten times the local price and if you don’t know the language, they will get away with it. As for the police, they will exploit you for as long as they can get away with it.

-The average IQ in Mexico is about 88 (https://new-iq-test.com/iq-by-country/) and police officers across the world are known to be less intelligent than the average person. It is also worth noting that the average IQ of a criminal in the United States is 85. No-one should be surprised that in Mexico, the police are notoriously complicit in crime and are widely regarded as the mafioso’s handmaiden’s. If you happen to be driving outside of the tourist trap zone and you are pulled over for a minor traffic violation, expect to pay a “gringo price” for your bribe. Of course, you may decline to pay, in which case the officer will probably restrain himself from exercising the state of nature’s right to shoot you on sight, but he will then write a formal citation (if he happens to be functionally literate) and he will also confiscate your U.S driver’s license, along with your license plate. That’s right, the traffic cops (la policia vial) have the prerogative to confiscate the driver’s license and license plate and store them in a local police office as collateral to ensure that the offending driver pays their dues. If you’d prefer to visit five to ten different offices in God knows which municipality of Mexico instead of paying a $100-200 USD bribe, you may opt to do so.

-The majority of expatriates you will meet will be senior citizens. That’s inevitable: the younger folks visit Mexico if they are on vacation with their parents (as is the case with Millennials and the Post-Millennials) and Gen Xers tend to be too pragmatic to experiment living in a shithole country, as President Trump would describe Mexico.

-Your dating life will improve, but you will meet your fair share of gold-diggers. Make no mistake about it, there is no overblown entitlement complex in Mexico, the Dunning-Kruger effect is almost exclusively an Anglo-American phenomenon. Yes, Mexico may have been influenced by radical feminism, but not to the extent that the U.S has been. Nonetheless, there is no shortage of young women who will look at to take advantage of you because they tend to assume that since you are from the U.S, you must be stupendously wealthy and as naïve as they come.

-While Mexico is known to be a traditional and a family friendly society, single motherhood is also nearly the norm. You will be rolling your dice and if you happen to draw the short end of the stick, you will find yourself in a hopeless situation where your prospective partner simply has no concept of what purpose a man serves in a family. To her mind, a man is a little more than a violent intruder whose persona is characterized by drug lords, habitual wife beaters who are arrested weekly and released from prison a day later and an entire type of people who represent an illiterate man who is good for nothing but abusing any woman he meets in every possible way his tiny brain allows him to imagine. On the other hand, if you happen to win the lottery, your rewards will grow exponentially.

As for me, I have just about had enough. If you are looking for a golden mean between the exorbitant costs of living in the U.S, the cultural degeneration that the PC left represents and Mexico’s utter lawlessness, I’d recommend Spain. That is where I’ll be heading very shortly. With regard to climate and the costs of living, it is certainly a golden mean as well. You can live just as cheaply as you would in a prosperous Mexican expatriate community, but you will enjoy a much higher standard of living in all ways imaginable. If Spain happens to be too expensive for you, try Portugal. If you can prove that you earn just $18,000 USD per year, you will be eligible for receiving the privileges of permanent residency in Portugal and by extension, the entire European Union. The climate in the Iberian Peninsula is also quite temperate, which stands in sharp contrast to Mexico’s tropical, hot and dry climate where heavy rains induce flood-like conditions for a good five to six months of the year. The climate in the Iberian Peninsula is known as the Mediterranean climate, which is quite similar to much of southern Europe of Italy, southern France, the Balkans and Greece. Costa Del Sol of Spain (the sunny coast) enjoys 320 days of sunshine per year and even in the heat of summer, the scorch is not nearly as oppressive as it is in Mexico and the winters are fairly mild. In many respects, the Iberian climate is identical with that of Southern California, but the ocean is much warmer.

A short post today as I'm traveling across the country, trying to write a book, and trying to recover my voice.  Regular Cappy won't be back until Thanksgiving is over and he is back in the Northern Command.  In the meantime enjoy (hopefully) this very quick and unedited post. 

I was hanging out with that no good dirty Mexican we all love, Atham.  Many of you know him as the chemical engineer major off in the lofty mountains near Lake Tahoe, who works menial late night jobs so he can graduate without debt, find a job with the least amount of HR BS as possible, make his money, and enjoy the last half of his life with peace, serenity, calm, and stability.

Over a cigar we got on the topic of nagging women, specifically how it's not acceptable, but unavoidable, thus forcing stoicism upon you.  But a more poignant observation we made was how women "trying to help," or lecturing you about your health, or telling you about "this" diet fad or "that" diet fad, or (in general) telling you what to do, is not helping at all, but killing you.  And if women really want to extent the life expectancy of their men, they would do one of two things:

Support or silence.

If you are a real man (and that's a very huge if nowadays given the Millennials and soyboys out there) you will have:

Supported yourself
Educated and trained yourself
Established a profession
Invested your money
and in general have become an independent man, relying on no one or no thing.

It takes a while, especially given the price of tuition and the hurdles to a stable career the baby boomers have laid in front of you, but this journey, this perseverance, this challenge is what galvanizes you into a man at the end of it. And so there you are as an accomplished bachelor, sitting your bachelor pad you bought and paid for, doing your thing in life that you were meant to do, all under your own steam.

Inevitably a woman will come in.  She has not had anywhere near the galvanzing experiences you do. Matter of fact she's had a huge leg up over you.  She's had parents subsidize her well into her late 20's.  A college and educational environment that had done all but sacrifice goats in terms of woman worship.  Affirmative action as a standard policy to hire women over mean.  And men themselves, wishing to access her vagina, will also subsidize her in terms of dates, gifts, even direct financial help (Cappy knows one prominent paper alpha who is now helping a truly pampered suburbanite princess with food and rent simply because she's hot).  Wherever this assistance comes from, it puts life on easy mode for women, they do not endure, toil, or work as hard as men, but since society is lying to them (for a variety of reason) they think they are as equally independent, strong, and accomplished as you are, and therefore have a right to tell you what to do and how to do it.

This then sets the scene for what will be the cause of the majority of battles between couples.  Men KNOW what it took to get to where they were. Men were perfectly fine, even excelling past their female counterparts when adjusting for the handicaps life gave women.  From simple time management to car maintenance to why you don't waste your time cleaning to the anal retentive levels women do, men have a VERY GOOD and PRECISE reason for every decision they make and whatever habits they've developed over the years.  But women do not see this.  They only see what the HGTV channel has shown them life should be like.  They only have what the media and women's magazines tell them they're entitled too.  While the men are working hard in the engine room of the Titanic, women are arranging deck chairs and floral bouquets, lecturing them about their dirty feet, or why eating "this" is bad for you, or any one of an unlimited number of aspects of your life that has otherwise been streamlined to maximize your ability to earn a living.

Each and every one of these criticisms, unsolicited bits of advice, and nagging serves as a grain of sand thrown into your engine.  It decreases efficiency, it takes time for you to deal with, but inevitably it taxes and destroys the engine.  You aren't allowed to produce or progress as much as you once did.  YOu have to explain to women in a very child like way WHY you're doing these things. You even have to defend yourself and the choices you've made as to why it's better.  You even have to at times explain "because it's my fucking house and my fucking money, that's why."  But regardless of the particular pointless grain of sand that was throw into your engine, such conditions over time not only slow you down and impede your ability to work and get the most out of life, it slowly but surely kills you.  Even, ironically your wife or girlfriend nagging you about healthy living.  It inevitably kills you.

This nagging I argue is killing men earlier than normal.  The "crisis of men" where men commit more suicide, the mortality rate of men is going up, and more "depressed deaths" being logged among men is caused, disproportionately by adversarial women.  And while yes, statistics would show opioids, alcohol, liver disease, and the like are the cause of this, the cause of that would be the toxification of the one thing that gave men point and purpose to live - women - driving men to drink and killing their will to live in the process.  You may make the argument it isn't provable, but nagging, being confrontational, and competing against your husband certainly does not extend his life.

However, there is something that is also killing off men way earlier and way more effectively than women's nagging and their general confrontational demeanor against men.  And its origins are precisely that of nagging, one would even say it's the ultimate form of nagging - obesity.

The number one thing that drives men in life is female beauty.  The only reason you have roads and the cars to drive them on, let alone the buildings you'd drive on them to are because men pursued female beauty.  And they way men got female beauty was by building up wealth, creating some amazing things, and making life easier for any woman who might be kind enough to hook up with him.  BUt without this beauty, men have no incentive to get up in the morning, work hard, major in engineering, let alone create or innovate.  Worse, it is that fuel that the male spirit lives on, the purpose and reason in life, and by association the fuel that powers society. So when all of society's women decide to get obese because "big is beautiful," or you marry your wife and she pulls the fat grenade and blows up, you immediately deliver the largest blow you can to a man's reason to live.  And whether that man is a single man and has to look at the vast sea of landwhales that are available to date, or you're married and your wife gets fat, yes, there are other things in life, but not really.  There just isn't a reason for a man to get up and give it his all.  It's like putting a 38 octane fuel in a racing car that needs 110.  And soon, over time men will also become obese, eat unhealthy, have their spirits broken, and certainly die earlier than they would otherwise, some even committing suicide.

Thus "Skinny Wives Saves Lives" is a saying I coined simply because it's true.  If society is REALLY concerned about the increasing deaths of men, they might want to look at what women are doing (and becoming) as that is what men normally lived for.  It may not quaintly fit into your sociology theories about "having enough government resources to fight and treat addiction," and it certainly forces an unfortunate responsibility on women to remain svelte and comely for their men, but if you really want to turn increasing male mortality around, maybe instead of being a loud, obnoxious, nagging, confrontational lard ass you become a supporting, feminine, skinny wife?

Of course, I know, I know. Many of you veterans out there know this is folly.  We know that by their behaviors women love food more than men (and the same can be said of many o' husbands).  And we know there's no way to undo the decades of time and trillions of dollars in brainwashing women have received since they were 5 about how they had to compete against men.  This generation and the next (Gen Z) are more or less washes that are going to have to be forfeited as feminine beauty is essentially outlawed for them.  All I wanted to point out is that society does not have the balls to point out that in making women ugly, fat, nagging and adversarial to men we've also given men huge disincentive to live.  And until we point that out you can expect male mortality to increase, and economic growth to decrease.  Enjoy the show and enjoy the decline.

Cappy's Final Health Update

Good and final news everyone.

If you did not know, the Ole Captain had a health scare that lasted just shy of 2 months.  It originally started as something potentially wrong with my liver/gall bladder/pancreas/right side/area, to them finding a growth on my liver, to finding out that growth had been then since I was born and it was nothing, to "are you sure there's nothing wrong with my liver," to "what the heck is this feeling on my side then?"

After a CT scan, an MRI, and a final ultrasound, it turns out everything is perfectly fine (especially my liver, apparently it's in excellent shape, which is almost a miracle enough for me to believe in divine intervention now).  And after experimenting with my diet, cutting out coffee and caffeine, as well as avoiding stressful situations, it is most very likely an irritation in my digestive track triggered by stress and acidic foods/drinks.

If I avoid traffic, misbehaved children, and Minnesota dumbasses in the left lane, as well as coffee, I feel perfectly fine, and will slowly be ramping up my production from 75% back to 100%, but never again to the 150% I was running at before.

Consequently, my book "How Not to Become a Millennial" will be delayed into December, possibly January as I will be taking a less-aggressive writing schedule to finish it.  I also have decided to write a short essay as timing demands it be written now which will further postpone the book.  I will still try to do two podcasts a week, but will be taking the occasional day off if need be to either rest, calm down, or work on other projects.

Did Shaming Single Mothers Work?

Good news today is very rare.

It's rare in part because it doesn't sell, thus main street and alternative media has no reason to report it.
It's rare because society as a whole is deteriorating in terms of quality and caliber.
It's rare because government policy (at least in the west) celebrates losers over winners.
And it's rare because anytime something good is attempted the established powers often prevent it from happening.

But one got past the goalie and I'm happy to share it.  So please share this good news as well because we earned this one.

During my research for "How Not to Become a Millennial" I was compiling data on family formation.  I was absolutely certain that along with the decrease in marriage rates, increase in divorce, and a deterioration just about every other sociological metric, out of wedlock births would be up.  But to my surprise it wasn't. It was actually down.  And not only down, but sharply down from 2008.

I'm sure there are many and valid reasons for this, some more official than others.  But I cannot help but notice that 2009 is when bandwidth on the internet not only allowed for blogs, but podcasts and youtube channels.  It also coincides with an explosion in social media where people regularly exchanged and posted their political opinions on the internet.

Now the "official stance" according to the dinosaur media, college, government and education industry is that single motherhood is perfectly fine and acceptable. And not only is it fine and acceptable, it's brave, courageous, and amazing.  So fervent did this narrative become, single motherhood became more of a cult and single mom worship became the norm.  But that was the official stance.

The "unofficial stance," I argue, didn't finally get out into the public until the citizens' media in the form of the internet had the bandwidth and platforms to do so. And while Oprah, the Democrat party, and every ancient washed up women's print magazine in the world was still towing the "She Works Hard for the Money" line, young women started noticing on;

Blogs they read
Podcasts they listened to
YouTube channels they watched,

and most certainly

their social media accounts

that men were sick and god damned tired of the 24-7, non-stop, "rah rah single mom" worship-bullshit and distinctly did not like, want to worship, nor want to marry, single moms.

Not only was this "unofficial stance" against single moms, but it was so vehement, so clear, and so consistent that young women actually started to pay attention. And while I'm sure some education, access to birth control, and other sociological variables are in part to explain the collapse in single motherhood, I would bet my left nut that men letting their honest opinions about single motherhood be known publicly on the internet has scared young women straight into not fucking up by becoming a single mom.

This is a rare victory for people in the red pill/manosphere/alt media.  Where pushing a counter-narrative the truth against the narrative lies put out by the establishment media, actually brings about the result the rest of normal, healthy, sane people want.  It could indeed be that some government program had great success in reducing the amount of single moms being created, but I would argue it was more the fact that enough men had the courage to say they were sick of single motherhood, they were sick of single moms, we're sick of being asked to raise somebody else's mistake and threw it right back in their face.  And we did it so well that even YOUNG WOMEN listened and are now knocking it off with the single mom schtick.

There also gives hope that other messages can be spread through the internet to counter the lies of the mainstream and established media.  Perhaps we can convince blacks that the democrats are INDEED NOT THEIR FRIENDS.  Perhaps we can convince women that not every guy is a rapist, sexual assaulter.  Perhaps we can convince young people that they should major in something wise and not some dumbass liberal arts degree.  Perhaps we can even get Gen Z boys to hit the gym, be masculine, and act like American men, and Gen Z girls to be cute, be feminine, and maybe not hate men.

I know it's a long list.  But if you can get YOUNG WOMEN to listen to you, you can get anybody to do the same.

The Shipyards of Men

The Team-Agent Relationship

The USS Yorktown has an interesting story.  Heavily damaged and crippled at the Battle of Coral Sea, it limped its way back to Pearl Harbor where it could be repaired.  However, this was not going to be a regular repair job, queued up behind other ships that were in the shipyards first.  It HAD TO BE REPAIRED ASAP as every possible carrier and ship would be needed for the predicted and determining Battle of Midway.  And so what can only be considered the greatest repair job history in the world was set off.  Repair crews worked on the ship as she was sailing back to Pearl Harbor.  Labor, materials, and equipment were secured in advance so they could work on the Yorktown the moment she docked at Pearl Harbor.  They even put parts of Hawaii on rolling black outs so the electricity needed to repair the ship in time would be supplied.  And in three short days she was sent back out into the Pacific in battleworthy condition (with repair crews still aboard her fixing what they could before the upcoming battle).

While the Yorktown is a unique story forced by emergency war conditions, it highlights a vitally important part of any naval vessel's life - a shipyard.  A repair dock.  A group of people that can maintain and repair this ship so that it may have not only have the longest life possible, but do the most when it comes to war, patrolling, defense, even commercial transport.  It's vital to a ship because protects, maintains, and extends the inordinate amount of resources that went into building the ship in the first place.  And it's certainly cheaper in the long run than building new ships whilst you let the old ones go into disrepair.

But this relationship between shipyard and ship, where there's an agent that goes out and performs a function and a team supporting said agent, is not relegated to naval vessels.  There is an entire crew that supports a single fighter plane and fighter pilot (so much so the repair chief tells the pilot to bring back HIS plane).  There is an entire team behind a single race car and race car driver.  Even the cops are a group of guys going out into the field, supported by dispatchers and other specialists back at HQ.  But long before fighter planes, race cars and aircraft carriers the very first instance of this agent-support team relationship existed.  And that was the relationship between men and women.

In the olden days men were the agents, the battle ships, the fighter planes sent out into the field to do a variety of tasks.  Defend the village.  Fight the horde.  Hunt the antelope.  Till the fields.  Build the forts.  And in the not-so-olden days they did the modern day same.  Work at factory.  Work at the office.  The 9-5 grind.  Bring home the bacon.  Women were the equally-vital shipyards of men, repairing them as they came back to harbor.  They would fuel the men with food.  Keep a nice dockyard in good condition.  Tend to any wounds or injuries men might have sustained in the field.  And the vitally important morale booster of soothing men, being kind to them, loving them, and giving them an emotional and existential point and purpose to go back out into the field and do it all over again.  This team-agent relationship formed naturally over the course of hundreds of thousands of years and it seemed to work pretty good with it culminating in nuclear power, flight, freedom, landing on the moon, medicine, the elimination of hunger, the internet and self publishing.

But times have changed and things are no longer what they were a mere short 60 years ago.  And there are ramifications, especially for men.  For while you may have been built in a shipyard, and have 17 years of training and education put into you, and you are ready to take on the world, the problem is you no longer have a support team back at bay.  There is no repair crew to extend your life and efficacy.  If you suffer any damage (which you will, because it is the definition of life) you will only have yourself to rely upon to repair, maintain, as well as incentivize you over the course of your life.  And the sooner you swallow and accept this very bitter pill of reality, the better your future life will be.

Yes, Aunt Bea Did Exist

 
First, however, it needs to be stated and established that at one time women did like, love, cherish and support men.  Yes, Aunt Bea is a fictional character and so was June Cleaver, but they epitomized the ideal Team-Agent relationship men and women had with one another.  But if that's not enough to convince you, one only need to remember their WWII grandparents and ask how grandma treated grandpa.  My grandma treated my grandpa with support, love, dignity and respect.  If it was a hard day I cannot see ANY instance in which she would not support him.  And not once, never could it ever possibly happen that my grandmother would ever nag, criticism, lecture, tax, let alone divorce my grandfather.  Furthermore, if they're lucky enough to even be alive, ask them whether they would stand men up on dates, "flake," sit on their ass and say nothing while on a date, and in general act like the way young ladies comport themselves today.  You will find out it never crossed their minds, and even the mere prospect of such mistreatment they find appalling.  Women liked men back in the day, period.

But the real reason it needs to be established that at one time women did support their men is for posterity.  For historical record.  And above all else because it is human nature.  It is human reality.  Traditionalism, no matter how much it is under attack, is the default program settings of humans.  And when you work within these default settings the human race performs at its best.  However, you being a freshly christened vessel, recently released from the loading docks into this modern day ocean of anti-male feminism, you will be told the complete opposite of what your genetics, biology, and instincts are telling you.  This will cause you great confusion.  You will constantly ask "what's wrong with me?"  And you will go through an incalculable level of hell trying to reconcile what your entire biological instinct is screaming at you versus what society is screaming back.  But understand, they are wrong.  You are right.  No you're not insane.  At one time women did like men.  And there's nothing wrong in wishing to return to that, because that is nature.

No, Aunt Bea Don't Exist No More

Yet in a certain tragic sense they are right and you are wrong.  Because that's effectively what you get to deal with in the here and now.  The current pool of women available to you today do not have the traits, values, ethics, let alone incentives of WWII women.  And no matter what their underlying biological hard-wiring may be screaming at them, most women have chosen to abandon their men in the pursuit of becoming agents themselves.  This has resulted in new types of relationships between men and women today, the types of which are heavily dependent upon the individual women themselves as well as their age. 

The most common replacement relationship between men and women is the "Agent-Agent Relationship."  This has been the standard since the Baby Boomer generation and is where women put their own careers and the determination of their own lives ahead of that of men and anyone else.  Yes, they may get married.  Yes, they may even love their husbands and children.  But at no point in time do they exercise selflessness or altruism.  Their definition, their core, their purpose and agency in life is to be a professional.

They are an accountant.
They are an HR professional.
They are a teacher.
They are lawyer.
They are a politician.

Their new "Agent Role" is so ingrained in their psyche that they even mock and ridicule motherhood, stay at home moms, accuse traditionalists of wanting women to be barefoot and pregnant, even Hillary Clinton maligned the stay at home moms.

There is still some remnants of traditional functionality within this new "Agent-Agent" relationship, but they are few in that nearly all of the traditional "support team" functions have been outsourced.  Meals are prepared by chefs at restaurants, not by a wife with love and care.  Children are raised by nannies, day care centers, public school teachers, and the juvenile detention industry, not the mother.  If you've fallen ill your wife is not going to pamper you back to health as she also has to go to work.  And even if there is a nuclear family with children, those children are shipped out to after-school activities so the least bit of labor needs to be invested in them.  There is no home base.  There is no home.  There is no docking bay.  There is no loving, caring, womanly touch.  It is a place you sleep to breed children and then flip a coin as to whether or not you'll get divorced.

The second relationship is likely that of what Gen X'ers have - The "Agent-Competitor Relationship."  It's like the "Agent-Agent" relationship, but instead of potentially loving you and some accidental tacit support, women view men more as competitors, not a teammate to work with.

This is no more obvious than today's fad of promoting women, constantly, 24-7, on the news, the media, education, government, video games, and EVERYWHERE.  If there's a stereotype of an aged, career-woman, spinster who sold her soul to the corporation Gen X women would be it.  Highly educated, highly driven, even highly intelligent, they took what their Baby Boomer mothers and teachers taught them and took it to a whole new level.  Being part of this generation I have seen this since the 1st grade where our baby boomer teachers were CONSTANTLY hounding us young boys that the girls were just as good as us and could do whatever we could do.  FOUR DECADES of this constant, pro-woman, rah-rah, you go girrrrrrlllll, propaganda pitting women against men.  The predictable result was women didn't outright hate us, but it was made very clear they didn't like us (unless we pulled off some amazing shit), and the hell if they were going to give up careers for the degrading role of stay at home wife or mother.  Alas, it is no shock that divorce rates between Gen X'ers and Baby Boomers remained the same (especially when you consider how co-habitation understates divorce statistics).  Women truly didn't need...maybe didn't even want men.

Finally, there is what Millennials and Gen Z'ers get to face - The "Agent-Enemy" Relationship.

Again, it is highly dependent upon the girl, and I doubt the majority of young women today hate men, but an increasing number of women certainly do.  With even more vitriolic, sometimes outright hatred of men being programmed and indoctrinated into women from Kindergarten-to-Career, many young women today view men as the enemy.  Their elder Gen X sisters already viewed men as the competition, so it was only a couple more clicks to the right to transition that into being Public Enemy #1.  "Masculinity" is not  what saved women from being raped by the Japanese in WWII.  It's now "toxic."  Men who make more than women because they slaved their asses off majoring in STEM or working dangerous jobs in dangerous conditions didn't "work harder," they were "sexists."  Penis is privilege, so we're going to eliminate meritocracy from our ENTIRE ECONOMY promoting people based on sexism and racism.  Women (and their children) should be entitled to a lifetime of government support so they don't have to rely on a man.  And if a guy rejects me after having sex with him, it's perfectly fine to accuse him of rape.

What was once the cute battle of the sexes where the push and pull led to an intense liking of one another, has now turned into a true war where some women loathe and detest men.  And like hell if they're going to go to the shipyards to repair you or loving wives to cherish.  They literally hate you.  You are the enemy.

Self Care

When you add it up (which is tough to do because the data is somewhat lacking) I'd estimate the percent of the young, female population who are looking to be part of that traditional "Team Agent" team has got to be below 5%.  Even if they say they want the traditional relationship and will support you, often times it comes with other poison pills that make it a deal breaker.  So with such horrible odds, young men today need to acknowledge this reality.  And not only do they need to acknowledge it, they need to act on it.  Yes, you might get statistically lucky and find yourself a keeper, but going forward in life you have to operate from the premise you are going to be taking care of yourself, doing your own repairs, and very likely sustaining damage - not benefiting from - the handful of women you date.

This then enters the realm of "there is no solution," because like it or not you are programmed to need a woman.  Yes, technically you "don't" need a woman.  You can eat.  You can work out.  You can engage in hobbies.  But for all of human genetic history you were programmed to want a woman.  And without them, you are going to sustain certain types and amounts of damage because you were built to be a ship, not a repair team.  So the "solutions" are not really "solutions" since there are none.  These are merely prescriptions to treat a problem that will (in all statistical likelihood) never go away.

The first step is to acknowledge this is reality.  You (roughly) stand a 1 in 20, a 5% chance of meeting a traditional woman that, if you marry her, she will support you and be a net positive in your life.

The remaining 95% are likely going to be the bane of your existence.

Ergo, with such odds, you simply cannot put your hope, faith, dreams, and value in a wife or any consequential children because women have simply been programmed to be the opposite.  If you do find one of these unicorns, consider it like winning the lottery.  It's a statistical fluke.  But remember, no matter how much you'd like otherwise, TRILLIONS of dollars and TRILLIONS of hours have gone into programming young women today to be Agents, Competitors, or Enemies, and NONE have been invested into teaching them how to be loving wives or mothers.  So stop looking or at least learn to cut your losses quickly, early, and often when dating women.

The second step is to find agency and purpose outside of family and marriage.  This will be the subject of a more detailed future post, but without women and family you will have to find something else to kill the decades of time you'll have.  You can technically do anything.  All of life's options are on the table.  But some key ones are going to provide you the most worth and value in life.  Your career will be the most likely one in that it gives you immediate agency and purpose, as it has for all men in all of history.  It will also provide you comradery assuming you work for a team of people, essentially making that a substitute, though inferior family.  Friends, if you can find them should be cherished as they tend to go by the wayside over the decades.  Hobbies are also a must where you craft or build something of value that will remain on this planet after you die.  Finally, you may want to consider religion or at least some philosophy to ultimately face what happens after you die.  This alone will take some serious effort and resources, but the benefits of answering this question for yourself personally will pay dividends over the course of your consciousness.

Third, physical and mental health.

Without what has traditionally given men value in life, your body is going to have an uphill battle staying in both mental and physical shape.  The love of your spouse as well as your children would have normally given you the incentive to get up in the morning and take on the day, but without that fuel you can easily lapse into lethargy, sloth, depression, drug use, and loneliness.  This means eating right and working out are absolutely mandatory part-time jobs in that they will at least partially offset and fight the loss of what you should have normally had.  They will boost endorphins, enhance mental clarity, stave off depression, and maybe even give you a social group to belong to should you find a quality running club or hiking group.  But keep in mind your hind brain and the millions of years of evolution it has gone through is going to be constantly reminding you that you should be down and depressed without your crew, team, or support.  It's not wrong, but there is no solution.  Hit the gym and eat right.

Fourth, adventure and explore.

To give yourself an incentive you need to adventure and explore the world.  Maybe not global trips to Antarctica or Tanzania, but visiting new and different places to at least provide your mind with some novelty and adventure.  Based on my personal experiences, this should give you at least a decade's worth of meat to chew on and feed your soul, but inevitably the novelty wears off, you get old, and traveling gets tiring.  Still, it serves its purpose and makes you a season man.

Fifth, your family.  You may not have one of your own, but you came from one and if they're not toxic or abusive visiting them and spending time with them before either you or they die is a good substitute for your own.  Again, your parents will likely die before you do, but there's no reason not to visit them before they do.

Finally, leaving a line in for the 5%.

Though statistically unlikely, a quality woman who loves you, cherishes you, and supports you is worth at least keeping a line out for.  This doesn't mean you go to night clubs.  It doesn't mean you spend hours on Tinder or cumulative days on dates.  But you do leave a line out for a quality girl in case one comes along and bites.  A lot of this can also be helped if you're direct and blunt with women in what you want.  Being honest on your dating profile that you are looking for a SAHW and a traditional relationship will cut through the chase and act as a lightning rod for what few women want the same.  Taking a conservative fat girl whose nice and telling her you'd date her if she'd lose weight is more efficient than hoping to make a pretty leftist girl a traditional stay at home wife.  Your life should be so occupied with other activities that you don't have time to waste on anything but the rare marriage material woman, and when you hit that stage it's sometimes surprising when quality women show up.

Still, by math alone only 1 in 20 of us are going to get a quality girl.  By math alone only 1 in 20 of us CAN get a quality girl.  And until society starts to place value on family, husbands, fathers, and other USS Yorktowns, and start putting in the support need to keep those things afloat, it's going to be a lonely haul and a lonely life for the majority of American men.  Make the best of it and as always, enjoy the decline.
