Now THAT'S Funny!

Yeah, move your business to DETROIT!

North Korea might as well have placed an ad in the same paper.

  1. Fewer people are murdered in North Korea than Detroit.

San Francisco busses have "public service" propaganda ads about the city's "hidden treasures" in Bayview, Hunters Point, the Western Addition, and The Mission - all among the most dangerous neighborhoods in town.

This reminds me of you blog post about ads. If they're advertising it, they must be desperate.

    I bet you would.

  3. Lifelong Detroiter here...and yeah, it is pretty pathetic.

If our City Council hadn't just spit on the Cobo Hall plan and (by proxy) the rest of the metro area, my husband and I might not be thinking about moving. But you can only stay on a sinking ship so long...we don't have immediate plans, but it's under consideration.

What color is the sky in your world? You mean fewer civilians murder people? After all, when the government takes over an activity (even murder) there obviously will be less of that activity in the private sector.

The color of my sky is blue. In your world, where people aren't bright enough to recognize an obvious joke, it's pitch black. Lighten and brighten up. :)

Kasia, I agree. The City Counsel is still living in a '60's radical fantasy. I think the only thing for it is to just let it collapse. In another 10 years the city will be mostly empty and then the land could be carved up from the outside.
