Cry Babies

Again, the entitlement mentality enrages me. How DARE you freeze our salaries during a recession!

    It's not a freeze, it's a cut.

That said, they're a bunch of whining babies who need to grow a pair and accept that their lifestyle is sustained by unsustainable deficits.

Americans are prone to this as well, but there's not much outcry over it because the government would rather run this shit into the ground than actually make the necessary cuts.

  2. Whenever I hear about the unions in Greece, I recall my own experiences with them years ago. In spring of '96 I went to visit my family over there. One weekday, we drove about four hours to go see the ruins of Olympia. Upon our arrival and to our dismay, we discovered that it was closed due to a strike. When my uncle inquired they told him that it would be open again on Saturday. Why Saturday? Their answer was simple--"We don't strike on weekends." To me, that said it all.

  3. How do they separate the men from the boys in Greece?

    With a crowbar.

  4. These people are whiny idiots who are afraid of compromise, even though that's the ONLY way the state of Greece is gonna be able to balance its budget and get back in the black. I hate idiots like this and the union auto workers in companies like GM who wanna be shielded from reality.

Just take the fucking cuts NOW, Greek workers, and stop whining. You can ask for the pay increases back to 'normal' when the economic times are better, ok? I promise it won't be too long.

The marxists who run the greek unions smell blood in the water and are hoping their intransigence will help push the greek economy ever the edge, producing chaos that they can exploit.

"Worse is better" is an old left wing adage.

The saddest part is that this is a strike of "customs officials", the very people who make every importers life a living hell through delay and extraction of both tariffs and bribes.

Maybe the government should just allow free, untaxed import of gasoline during the customs strike! Or maybe forever.
