A Feminist Christmas

I was going to throw this in with the rest of the links, but then it dawned on me it deserves its own ridicule.

I link to the Spearhead and not the Youtube video, for the video does not deserve the hits. But you should read the article (short), but more importantly watch the video.

Honest to the Patron Saint's Name of Frick. Are feminists even capable of being happy? How sad do you have to be to go and take innocent little Christmas songs and purposely find something wrong with them? I know the strategy is to take innocent things, create or identify false "problems" with them, claim victim status, and then demand government funds for compensation, but geez, you just look like, well, a bunch of pissed off feminists.

Additionally, while the girl in the video claims there are some really "creepy" things in these Christmas songs, what's really creep is something that hearkens back from my parochial school days. At this veritable brainwash camp I attended in my youth, we would be allowed to listen to records. But the teachers were always, constantly and PURPOSELY trying to find things wrong with the lyrics so they could scold us for listening to the song. Half the time the lyrics were so intelligible, we just liked the beat and the music itself. But no, they said (just like Msssssss. Bahumbug did),

"But do you really listen to the lyrics and the hidden messages?"

As if to ply a guilt trip on you for daring to sing "Baby It's Cold Outside" and imply some kind of sin by association.

So to all you feminists who want to make everybody as miserable as you are during Christmas, perhaps this would be a better song:

Merry Christmas...that's if you're capable of it.

Update - seems the ratings and comments section of this video have been disabled. Probably because it didn't jive with the author's ideological desires of foisting misery and solitude upon all women. Apparently all the women who want real men and desire to be happy didn't like the video, not to mention, if any statistical evidence showed just how unpopular "feminism" is in the US, it would cost all those precious little feminists the rationale for their existence.

Don't worry girls, keep on crusading. A lonely, male-free nursing home, replete with cats and abusive government paid union socialist orderlies awaits you where you can convince yourself you didn't purposely shoot yourself in the foot by criminalizing what ironically could have been the best thing for you.

Oh, and merry CHRISTmas.

  1. Cats won't buy their spinster asses earrings or necklaces, how could they possibly be in a Christmas mood?

Gee, I'd do her. Big lips. I can imagine them wrapped around something of mine.
I'd never actually say that about someone I respected, but I'd love to tell her that to her face!

  6. yeah no shit Cappy

these monsters have already decimated our schools, universities, workplaces, families, legal systems, economies and governments

but they wont be satisfied until theyve destroyed ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that might bring solace or happiness, however momentary, to one of Those Evil Males

theyve managed to gut the most potent ecomomy in the history of the planet, in half-a-century of victimocracy, hate-mongering, and collusion by emasculated elites

why doesnt Team Woman do the universe a favor and deconstruct itself, permanently, then perhaps the rest of us could enjoy a christmas w/o their constant poison

    holiday cheers to you

  7. I still don't get how "Baby, It's Cold Outside" is a Christmas song. And it has always kind of creeped me out.

Dalrock posted today about a song being a good example of maintaining frame (http://dalrock.wordpress.com/2011/12/22/the-players-anthem-it-wasnt-me/); I would say this is another good example.

  8. How can it be CREEPY????

The guy is trying to get her to stay in, make moochas schmoochas, and (GASP!) MAYBE EVEN HAVE SEX!!!!

Ansley, really, not to sound like some academic feminist, but you're completely ignoring male sexuality or pscyhology, and putting it behind female sexuality. As if one or the other is superior.

You have to acknowledge and accept male sexuality for what it is. You can't call it "creepy" that a guy is trying to woo a girl into staying in the nice warm house.

What about the song "5 Minutes More" by Frank Sinatra?

  9. Are feminists even capable of being happy?

Short answer? No. Feminism is a mental illness.

  10. The funny thing I find about a lot of feminists is how they all seem to love and adore Sex and the City despite the fact that the women on that show did nothing other then attempt to find Mr. Right in an attempt to be happy.

Feminism should get together and start spreading a consistent and repeatable message. Maybe then they would be taken seriously.

  11. Captain,

Not to go all "heart and soul trust your feelings" on you, but if it skeeves me, it skeeves me. And I'm definitely not ignoring male sexuality or psychology. They are two of the things I count on. If you'd prefer to consider men the predators and woman the prey, it's probably a good idea not to spook the herd.

"Baby, it's cold outside" is all about choice. She's saying she has to get going, he's trying to convince her to stay (or to let him stay, I always thought they were at his place and she's looking to go at the start). There are no threats, no violence. Of course, feminists aren't really about choice, are they? They're about doing things their way.

  13. Wait, now you have me confused. I always thought it was Frank trying to stay at the gals house and it was Dean trying to keep the girl at his house.

Whatever it is, it's just cute that the guys are trying to woo the girl into letting them stay.

  14. It`s about time people start hitting back on these attacks on Christmas. How much more politically correct bullshit to we have to put up with?
My kids school stopped their annual Christmas play. Parents for generations, have enjoyed seeing their kids perform at Christmas time. When does this sort of nonsense end?

I say for the New Year, we all start pushing back on attacks on everything white or male. The nanny/PC state has morphed into a living nightmare. When the Mayor of New York wants to ban salt shakers in restaurants, its time to say enough is enough.

Cappy, I say hats off to your posting.
    Merry Christmas!

  15. Try not to get too mad Pat.

I say this seriously, not just to make you feel better, but people living in such a delusional state suffer a pain much worse than we ever will.

Can you imagine just how "happy" this gal is going to be on Christmas? You'll be with family, friends, or what have you. You'll have food and some gifts.

She'll be forcing herself to eat some vegetarian tofu dish (that she really doesn't like, but eats for ideological reasons), while the rest of society is enjoying themselves, and she will purposely be by herself to "prove" to herself she isn't a conformist, American, capitalist, christian type. There's no real man near her that set her visceral, female passions aflame, but she'll still lie to herself that she's happy with her pansy, wimpy goatee wearing "art history" major boyfriend who is trying to get a gig playing guitar at the local coffee shop.

She'll never come around and will be 50 years old and even more bitter. We'll see her at a protest, even more angry at reality, but more so herself for wasting her life and all of her youth on stupid feminist, hate filled bullshit.

Be happy you are not her.

  16. Cappy:

Was pondering exactly what creeped me out about that video over the weekend, and it finally struck me.

When she is discussing her 5th most creepy song, "All I want for Christmas is you." she hits the feminist nail solidly on the head.

When a woman is singing the song, it is a creepy song because the song is saying a woman is not complete until she has Mr. Right in her life (or some other babble along those lines.) But, the clincher comes when she talks about a man singing the song. Then it is about stalking.

Women = pathetic for wanting a man in their life.
Men = stalkers for wanting a woman in their life.

Yeah, that kind of sums it up.

  17. I know I'm responding to an old post, but there's a perfect riposte in this 24-second video of "Baby, It's Cold Outside (Consensual Version)"
