Porn Economics Part II

I wanted to provide the answers to the question I posed in Part I as we were all over the board, though it did open up some other areas of thought:

1.  Lower your price
2.  Improve the quality of your product

Those were the two "Business 101" answers I was looking for, but again, extra bonus points for those cynical enough to suggest government intervention a la banning Pron Enterprises or subsidizing GS.

You all get A's from the professor, because, well, that's the only grade universities dish out nowadays.

  1. The reason I didn't want to answer was because I'm pretty much a layman when it comes to business and didn't believe the answers would be this deceptively simple. Plus, I don't look at porn. Cheers, sir!

"...that's the only grade universities dish out nowadays."

Unless you're an evil, oppressive, privileged white male, of course!

I think the topic needs more study in a more academic environment.

Cue college classes on the topic: http://stuartschneiderman.blogspot.com/2012/11/professorial-purveyors-of-porn.html

I think my favorite line is this one: ""The most important thing to understand about prostitution is that imposing sexual intercourse with money is a form of violence that shouldn't be accepted,"

Remember kids. Business transaction = act of violence.

  5. Except in the real world the price would be lowered, the quality would go to shit, and the government would step in to subsidize it.

  6. In relation to #2 I have been considering selling services to women with online dating profiles. My model for good profiles? Mid-range escort ads on backpage.com and local alternative papers.

I'm quite serious, go read such ads. "Someone to relax with", "I promise a place to rest and relax", "Relax with a friendly, feminine blonde", and so on.

These women live on being appealing to me, and their ads show it. The career women sex company should take some notice.

"The most important thing to understand about prostitution is that imposing sexual intercourse with money is a form of violence that shouldn't be accepted,"

So we're doing away with prostitution AND alimony? Right? RIGHT?

What is the economics of something that only gets you pleasure.

If you want to build will power, FIGHT against this urge.

Sex is definitely a weapon, but it is used by nature in order to subdue males into procreating and working.

    Say no to this slavery.

Men should boycott both GS and Pron and spend their money on something useful that will earn them returns.

    Who cares about nature.
