When the Wedding is More Important Than the Groom

For the Patron Saint's Name of Frick.

Just can't make this shit up anymore.

  1. She's a wee bit presumptuous.

I didn't focus as much on the control freak...but the guy she married. Classic beta mannerisms.

  3. Meh. Women like to fantasize about their weddings from childhood onwards. This one was a bit more systematic about it is all.

In my, admittedly limited, experience, the groom generally wants to have as little to do with the wedding planning as possible anyway.

  5. I just wonder how long it will take before this 'entitlement' is also mandated by government. At the rate men are turning their backs on contacts with these self righteous bitches, won't be long before they start to scream for government intervention.

The man who marries a woman like that is a fool.

Captain, what do you think of this video?

I notice in this romantic Disney short the man is powerless and the woman seems barely interested.

  7. Jesus. I gave my boyfriend an ultimatum. If he wants to get married, we're just going to the JP and getting it over with. Who wants to waste thousands and thousands of dollars that could go toward a house or student loans?

She is planning a wedding in ten years time and she is 34 now. We should really admire that level of optimism.

Ten years planning "her" wedding, hunh? I wonder how long she has also undoubtedly spent planning "her" divorce?

The foolish mangina that this control freak suckered into walking down the path to the gallows and sticking his head the noose -- er, marrying her -- is in for a surprise...and a BAD, BAD time!

Also notice how many comments on the article mirror the comments here? It's slow, but more and more men ARE finally starting to wake up!

I like how they have the throw away line at the end by the husband "we're planning on starting a family, hopefully soon". This girl is 34 and didn't look particularly healthy when she finally found her sucker. I wouldn't guarantee she won't be barren, not at all. What a chump. I wonder if she had to have the dress let out a bit, she was a lot heavier in her 24yo pics vs the wedding day pics.

It wouldn't have taken her 10 years to find a man if she woudn't have put on all that weight.

Wonder if she is putting a baby crib on layaway for her 50th birthday?

  13. I don't think it is that big of a deal. My philosophy has always been that it is the girl's wedding. You just happen to be the guy.
As somebody else said-I did not give a rat's patootie about color schemes and such. Basically, I had her tell me what time I needed to be there and that is all I wanted to do.
Plus, I was a little(Lot?) late because I went golfing that morning.

Isn't this pretty much always the case? I thought most women started planning their weddings around the age of five.
