Weekend Archive

I'll be in between flights, hiking, renting cars, and other general Las Vegas tomfoolery this weekend.

In the meantime, you can consult the podcast archives given the likely dearth of posts that is to ensue.

    Hey Cap'n!
Since you're tooling around Vegas, you may be familiar with the mountain country East of Kingman in Arizona's central highlands.

The area is in Northern Arizona's rain-belts: the monsoon storms dump here, and the Pacific winter storms dump feet of snow, too. The forests are dense, and, if you want a solar-powered, rain-catch system to bug-out to, there is no better, affordable place.

If you can't tell yet, I'm writing to pitch you on buying my 40 acres 45 miles East of Kingman. It's a south-facing bowl at 5600 feet elevation, only 2.5 miles from Interstate 40, so the snow melts quickly, and you can be on 4-lanes of blacktop heading east or west in under 15 minutes.

If you've ever thought about picking up just such a place, send me an email. I'm willing to deal on it!

And keep up Asshole Advising. We need as much tough-love as we can get!
