Unbelievable. I'm already wearing out my current astrophysics book that I hadn't had for a month yet and this is what is being given credit at some colleges. How am I not more wealthy than I am vs. the ever greater number striving to be the lowest common denominator.

"Remember to inoculate your children or yourself against stupidity."

Unfortunately, too much of the youth of the usa is past this point; so there is nothing else to do but "Enjoy the decline".

  5. Oh, good Christ, that's my alma mater.

Welp, time to call up the alumni office and continue to not give them money, a practice I have hewn to since three special snowflakes shut down a speech by Christie Blatchford.

  8. And such a sub-par mediocre singer at that.

This is not an academic endeavor of any sort. It's purely "idol worship" in disguise, pure and simple.
They should have at least pick out someone more worthy: Cat Stevens; Duke Ellington; Sarah Vaughn; even Paul McCartney (surviving ex-Beatle)...

    Worthless education ...

At least six people killed and seven injured when a 5 x 10 foot balcony collapsed.

What's the betting they weren't engineering students?

  10. The parents must be so happy spending that money for such a worthwhile education. OTOH, if the parents are Boomers they probably do think it's a worthwhile education: you have no skills, no abilities, no worthwhile knowledge, no job, and no prospects, but, hey, you're just oozing with "self esteem".
