And that's the truth. This is probably a white guy.
Now all leftists can go pound sand accusing me and the likes of suspecting a muslim in the Boston bombing.
Update - I was right! Let's see if I can go 2 for 2!
UPDATE UPDATE!!! NEW EXPLOSION!!! I predict it was a chemical or faulting mechanics. This is because of course I am a chemicalist and a faulty-mechanic-phobe and am bigoted against both groups. I know my jumping to conclusions is PROOF of my hatred for chemicals and faulty mechanics, but that is because my white privilege forces me to assume it was chemicals and/or faulty mechanics.
It still could be. I don't know if they are necessarily related. They could be but we don't know for sure.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's a better idea to not jump to conclusions on any of these attacks in the first place when there's virtually no information or evidence to prove anyone's assumptions correct. I'm not saying that Islam is automatically some religion of peace (one could also say that there are many violent passages in Christian and Jewish texts), but I think it's silly to buy into the fear mongering about a Muslim extremist committing the crime only so the police state can be expanded and our civil liberties would be encroached upon, which might also happen even if the guy was White, Black or Purple! Remember the whole BS about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and the amount of government spending that went into such a war? As a libertarian yourself, you should agree to a certain extent that those kinds of wars are government programs in themselves and very wasteful. No wonder I stopped listening to talk radio a while ago. It's better to learn how to think for one's self.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't help make the suffering any better for the victims. Getting caught up on trying to define whether this was a terror attack or not also won't help them either. Even the president himself didn't know who did it, and while I'm not an Obama fan, I certainly believe him there.
Reuters and The Boston Globe have reported that the authorities have finally arrested someone in the Boston marathon tragedy.

Hear hoof-beats?
ReplyDeleteThink horses, not zebras... or unicorns.
Why would guessing that it is a white guy be any more noble than guessing that it is a Muslim? We, at least, have a basis for suspecting Muslims, given that they've attacked us before, attack other countries regularly, use exactly the tactics in the Boston bombing, and Muslims all over the world were cheering at the news of the bombing. Did you see any crackers in Appalachia dancing and cheering at the news?
ReplyDeleteStating that "it was probably a white guy" just so you can feel warm and secure wrapped in your blanket of political correctness or so you can appease the pathologically politically correct, is both wimpy and logically unsound.
I'll state it: it was probably a Muslim (or 2 or 20) on both the marathon attack and the ricin. Do I want Patriot Act II to nullify even more basic rights? Hell no, but I'll be damned if I'm going to name the lesser of the likely suspects just so people don't call me "racist".
Don't be so closed minded, roberto. This could have been set up by a dog, or several blades of grass. However, we shouldn't blame them either, or we will fuel an eventual state where dogs wait in kennels to die or we mow millions of blades of grass just for looks.
ReplyDeleteNo, we must assume these bombs formed themselves, no matter how many leads we get say otherwise.
Bigot.
Now you can see who the suspect is!

Press conference at around 5 today.
I don't know Cap. I have just looked at some pictures on 4Chan which were taken from cctv in Boylston Street and it shows a guy with a duffel/backpack most likely the bomber. His head is turned sideways so I cannot be certain what demographic he belongs to. From what little I can tell he doesn't look like a Brandon, Benny, Bjorn or Séan.
ReplyDeleteExcept, you _did_ suspect a Muslim.
ReplyDeleteYes, I did and I still do. It is the accusation of bigotry that comes from the left that I find disingenuous.

You obviously have been reading too much of The Weekly Standard to have an original thought in your head. Read Pat Buchanan articles, Reason and The American Conservative sometime, bud, to get a real perspective on foreign policy issues rather than relying on someone trying to justify expanding the police state.
Anon, just to help you out, here is something that describes my views on this subject well.

I was talking with a diehard liberal about the Boston Massacre. He speculated that this was the work of white supremacists. (Isn't it funny the ways in which white liberal guilt manifests?) I asked him to name one terrorist attack committed by white supremacists. Hours later, he came back with the Oklahoma City Bombing.
ReplyDeleteThis was a long time ago, but I didn't remember there being a white supremacy angle to the OKC Bombing. I found an excellent online article by Gore Vidal who corresponded with Timothy McVeigh. McVeigh was not a white supremacist; he was vehemently anti-government. If even half the things in Vidal's article are true, the OKC Bombing looks like a government psy-op....intended to scare the public and make it receptive to the idea of expanded federal law agencies with unrestricted powers.
Initially, I thought the Boston Marathon bombing was the work of Islamic terrorists. Same MO.
But further reflection leads to a different conclusion. Look at the details: It took place in Boston, home of the original Tea Party. It occurred on Patriot's Day.
This could well be the current administration's "Reichstag Fire".

Boston is a pretty multicultural city. There are larger percentages of Whites, Blacks, and Hispanics in Boston than Asians. There is also a large percentage of people living in Boston who are either Irish or Italian, so the possibility that an Islamic terrorist did this becomes pretty slim considering those statistics. You might as well blame the IRA (Irish Republican Army) for bringing the Troubles to Boston if one wants to try to implicate a Tea Party member or an Islamic terrorist in this. I am not ruling that possibility out though, but I'm not convinced by the "evidence" so far to justify such claims.

I assumed the Beltway Sniper(s) was white, but I turned out to be so wrong.
ReplyDeleteOne of those people in those pictures looks white. Of course, there is such as thing as conversion...
