We never really defeated Nazism: we just removed Hitler and made the world safe for - ? - Nazism. Most of the Nazi laws are still in place and the rest of the West has been incorporating them into its legal systems.
The West is now in a hybrid state, between Weimar and Rohm's brownshirts. Communism failed, Hitler's faction lost, and the old WASP/monarchist order committed demographic suicide by overeducation. The degenerate faction of the far right is what's left over, a caricature of fascism.
Islamism seems to live in the same niche, which is where the mutual animus comes from: competition. The Muslim's trump card is his faith and his demographic muscle, largely from a more balanced education structure.
It worked in Kosovo and Lebanon. It's underway in Turkey and Egypt. The Europeans will see it within a generation. Israel proved how to fight back, by showing respect to religion and permitting a breeder caste, the Haredi, to fight back in demographic warfare.
Germany's homeschooling crackdown is meant to prevent this kind of group from forming. It will backfire horribly because this law will only hurt Christian ethnic Germans who mostly play by all the rules. The more aggressive and adversarial immigrants will hardly notice it.
There is also the case of the indian family that had their children taken away by the german authorities because they were feeding him with their hand (without using forks and spoons).
The german press likes to bark at the US politics while ignoring any internal issue.

The purpose is destruction of the "bourgeois family":

The bourgeois clap-trap about the family and education, about the hallowed co-relation of parent and child, becomes all the more disgusting, the more, by the action of Modern Industry, all family ties among the proletarians are torn asunder, and their children transformed into simple articles of commerce and instruments of labour.
I currently live in Germany and while it is a very nice over here, it is more than a bit on the over regulated side. The rules here are quite strict and woe betide those who dare to disobey. On the other hand, the Obama administration deported the family because they were white and conservative. That is they were deported because of their race and because they held incorrect political beliefs. Had they been people of colour, or even if they were drug dealers they could have remained in the U.S. on compassionate grounds.
