I think this world synchronizes like in a conspiracy. In London, "Project Guardian" seeks to tackle sexual harassment on public transport, but you dont hear a word about women's dress code: wearing tiny skirts with no panties, attracts the attention of guys who film these and post it on the internet porn websites - how else would you think we'd know ? So its men's fault because women are whores ?
Like in France recently, who copied Sweden's model to punish men for paying prostitutes, but not to punish women.
Let them enjoy the decline. Men Going Their Own Way. The Manosphere.
in Delaware, a can of pepper foam ( not spray ) is almost a requirement for riding the bus. I rode for nearly a year. The bus driver has a radio to call police, but, I wanted to avoid getting my ass kicked until the cops arrived. I also carried a 4 cell Maglite flashlight in my briefcase. You see officer, my vision is poor and I need light to walk safely :-)
You smart, uncorrupted young economists listen: You can't go wrong with a pre-2005 Buick with the unstoppable 3800 engine. You can pick one up super cheap. Same goes with ex-police cruiser Crown Vics (yes, they ride them hard but they're expertly maintained, and that's why the cab companies love 'em!).
Cappy is right. The amount of money it takes to keep a solid car on the road is well worth the grief of having to ride public transit with the dregs of society.
I wouldn't recommend any Government Motors vehicle made since WWII and Buick is one of the few brands that makes public transportation look good by comparison. GM recalled more than 1 million 3800 series engines due to risk of fire.
Cab companies like the Crown Victoria since they are large enough to transport obese customers. However the Panther platform is not fuel efficient which is why it was discontinued.
I recommend a Honda Civic, Ford truck, motorcycle, or any BMW (at least seven years old) depending on what you are trying to accomplish.
Well, you and Kate McMillan like low population areas, which is fine. I like cities, some cities. It is not possible to get very far driving in, say, Paris. As for the dregs of society: the dregs of society have cars, and are out driving all around you, typically drunk or drugged. Bus drivers do have to satisfy slightly higher standards than the dregs, and they drive much bigger vehicles. Individual car drivers have a truly impressive mortality rate. Indeed, Kate McMillan herself was in a van crash which in an area with deeper waterways might well have terminated her.
The public transportation in europe is awsome though. Everyone rides as there's no where to park. Plus you can drink as much as you like and take the train home worry free.

Homer Simpson put it best: "Public transportation is for jerks and lesbians."

ReplyDelete"Dregs of society" Izanpo? I believe the proper and respectful term is "the transit-dependent."
ReplyDeleteYou're right, I RUN.
ReplyDeleteI don't need public transportation and I don't need a car.
This keeps me healthy and saves money.
You will never talk me into buying a car. I'm done with having a car.
