"Black" Google

Godallfreakingmighty.

Yeah, I'm sure this is what MLK was fighting for; segregation.

He's got to be rolling in his grave.

"Are you sure you want to look up a museum? Are you sure you didn't want to go to a site about a pop singer instead? You know, because I heard that black people don't like history, unless it's Their Month. Are you sure you didn't mean to search for Fried Chicken and Watermelon?"

I'm exaggerating of course, but it's still insulting. I hope this venture fails.

FTA: "By way of example, he said that a black person searching for "whitney," for instance, probably wouldn't be looking for the Whitney Museum of Art, which comes up first on Google, or Whitney Bank, which comes up second. Instead, Taylor said, the searcher would likely be looking for Whitney Houston, who doesn't come up in Google until No. 4."

Interesting. But, if you type in Whitney Houston (notice that I properly capitalized her name), You get nothing but sites aimed at Whitney Houston. BTW, #4 is still on the first page, and would therefore, be a starting point for someone, black white, green or purple, to start there search.

Must be racist. My eyes, they are rolling...
