I'll bite (no pun intended). As long as the bear can be trained to carry major ordnance (mortar rounds definitely included), I'm all in favor of arming bears.
No doubt the Pentagon will get wind of this, and then the terrorists will REALLY have lost, because when the U.S. Army deploys its Grizzly brigades, they aren't just talking an anti-mine vehicle.

I only wish the bear had lived longer. Cats seem to last forever, and all they ever do is sit around and make me sneeze.
