HAHAHA!
I was going to Normandale Community College and took a class on Entrepreneurship. The assignment was to write a business plan.
Being impatient I was implementing the plan as I was writing it, or via versa. My business was up and running before the class was over and I never went back to school...

I probably would have gotten an F or D on my business plan...

As a computer science professor, you couldn't be more right. I HATE all the entrepreneurship students who "have a great idea" like building another pintrest site. They just need someone who can actually build the site, so of course they come to me asking "Is there a student who can build this site for me?"

Then I tell them, you do know that Pintrest has at least 20 software engineers making more money a year than you ever will working full time to develop their site, right?

Do you really think a CS student is smart enough to build this site, but dumb enough to choose you for their boss, and watch you get rich while they do all the work?

My favorite quote from a real entrepreneur: An idea guy is just a minus $200,000 on the balance sheet.

I tried talking to one of these guys who majored in it, I always knew it was a useless degree... but the fact he couldn't help me at all in real matters was quickly realised. The only suggestion of money making online he gave was "start a youtube". Of course, his life was made up of "other people" being successful but he was now going to become a pastor after that useless 3 year degree. He knew a lot about other people's business but that is about it.
