Economists and Capitalists UNITE

Sign the petition.

But cheer for Rush.

See how many genuine signatures they get.

I've never unsderstood the "wishing failure" on an opposing candidate. Doesn't that mean that we all suffer? I hope that BIG O proves us all wrong!!!!

On another topic, what is your take on what is happening in Iceland? My understanding is that one of the biggest factors in the collapse of thier economy is the "nationalising" of the banks. I heard about doing that somewhere else.......

Are the signatures visible to all? I'd like to add my 3 cents worth of comments, but wouldn't want my lefty boss to see it.

I'm not going to sign it. Even if every signature said, "Screw you, Obama! Rush rules", they would still trot out the total number of signatures as evidence of overwhelming public condemnation of Rush. You can't believe they're above that.

I hope Obama succeeds, if by succeed you mean wake up one morning with an epiphany that you've been going about everything just about completely wrong and begin changing your own political philosophy.

But that would qualify as a miracle best left to those in the miracle business. The best the rest of us can do is elect good people to Congress in 2010.

It seems like a short clip to make judgements about. Here's the transcript for those who missed it:

If you disagree with socialist policies then wouldn't you hope that socialist proposals/bills/laws fail?

Rush never said he "hopes Obama fails," he said he hopes his socialist policies fail to be passed; he said if Obama adds Reagan to his mix of FDR and Lincoln, and does things like cut taxes, be fiscally conservative, etc...he hopes he succeeds.

Why would anyone hope for Obama to succeed in terms of getting his Leftwing agenda passed?
