Speaking of anime, Captain, you ever get around to watching/reading Spice and Wolf yet? It's got economics by the truckload, and the pseudo-historical medieval setting removes the economic fantasy (the IS-LM model, the Phillips Curve) and replaces it with actual fantasy (one of the main characters is a wolf goddess). I've been telling you to check it out for years; I think you'd like it.
The books it was based on are available in the US, although only the first half dozen or so have been translated so far.
As for the anime itself, it's on Hulu: http://www.hulu.com/watch/128261/spice-and-wolf-wolf-and-best-clothes#s-p5-so-i1

I had forgotten that there were music albums based on Cowboy Bebop. I only remembered "Tank!" I will have to listen to the other stuff.
The Cowboy Bebop soundtrack is classy as Hell.
