Rantings and tirades of a frustrated economist.
One word describes all those people: "frivolous." Don't ya just want to grab each and every one of those fools by the collar and scream "You are a pathetic sack of human excrement. You have had the amazing gift of being born in the greatest country in human history and instead of taking advantage of that you choose to whine. Frankly I'm offended to the point of vomiting that I have to breath the same air as you. Kindly kill yourself."
Sorry for being off-topic, Cappy, but could you go into an explanation for why the foolishness known as "non-profit" is really just a charade?I was just reading my quality management book and some mook goes into some junk about "the world needs a private sector, a public sector, and a non-profit sector" I mean really, those last two are really the same thing and leeching off of the first. Thanks for your time.
I love the complete lack of understanding of how statistics work. "Lesbians are more likely to live in poverty so I'm worried about the prospects for me and my partner". She clearly has no idea that generalized statistics have nothing to do with her individual circumstances.
Hey Cap, you've mentioned before how you aren't a big reader so I'm wondering whether you have any resources for apsiring economics that cut down the reading and get to the heart of the matter? An economic curriculum for those who don't like reading?
Anon 3:37Try Henry Hazlitt's Economics in One Lesson or Thomas Sowell's Basic Economics: A Citizen's Guide to the Economy.
My favorite is the one who needs feminism out of concern about poverty. I think she'd be better off realizing she needs valuable skills, a job, and a work ethic.
