"Congenital Syphilis"

"...which is when a mother passes the STD to her baby during pregnancy, increased 40 percent from 2017 to 2018"

Not only do I want to say "Enjoy the Decline" and "for the Patron Saint's Name of Frick," I also want to point out...

how fucking self-centered of a woman do you have to be to have a child when you know you're going to pass on an STD to him?  Don't you think maybe, just maybe, you ought not have a child?  That, you know, you're already such a fuck up, you'd make a bad parent, but on top of that YOU'D MAR YOUR CHILD FOR IT'S ENTIRE LIFE????

No, no, I know.  Reproductive rights and all.  Body choice.  Feminism.  Fuck the kids.  Got it.

Cappy, do you actually think your average baby mama gives the slightest thought to the health and welfare of her baby? The baby is just a prop; a mirror to reflect the wonderfulness of the baby mama.

I used to be a pro-life Christian, but I'm seriously starting to question both of those stances these days. I also significantly reduced the money that I was contributing to my 401K as well because I don't think we're going to make it that far as a country.

Our host's three-word catchphrase has merit.

A very sound argument for forced sterilization.

Women rarely have obvious symptoms of syphilis - it is not like men's symptoms. However, during prenatal care, they test you for all of this, and also right before delivery. You are given antibiotics for several types of normal bacteria infections if you test positive, plus for any STDs. 25 years ago, when I was married in PA, both my husband and I had to get a physical, syphilis test, and have a form filled out before we could get a marriage licence. There is also a 3 day waiting period in case you change your mind. It was referred to as arcane and old fashioned, but I guess it wasn't. That was done away with around 2000.

Also, how much of this is illegals, or drug addicts who have no prenatal care?

Re: 401k - funny, I think about this a lot too. How else have you decided to prepare for the future, though, like what else is a better investment right now?
