However, this could set dangerous precedents in criminal enforcement. 1:Individuals are allowed to assault police as long as they then run away if the officer is not killed/knocked out immediately. 2:Police are not allowed to attempt to stop a criminal once they start running away.
Only in a world of hallucinatory infinite resources and money would such ideas be considered appropriate.
