Well at least they are being honest. They are getting rid of the best predictor of college success because their applicants can't pass it with high enough scores to gain admission. Look for watered down courses and non-rigorous arts and humanities first. Then that will bleed into the sciences and business soon enough. Everything that does not require an exam such as the CPA exam will become dumbed down. Watch for CPA and Law exams to be watered down too soon enough. Or maybe it will be a fight between the lesser capable and qualified test takers and the old guard who want to keep competition low. Thanks, Cappy. Good article.

“We’re allowing ZIP codes to basically define the future of American life.”

No, you've got it backwards.

I don't know why they bother to administer the SAT or the ACT tests anymore or that colleges require future students to take them. Since colleges and universities in the US have long ago became big business, most colleges outside of the Ivy League, MIT, and Stanford will happily take anyone off the street if they know their names and can sign student loan documents.

So many leftist buzzwords and catchphrases.

This should help with the east Asian problem Unis are having.

Might as well have useless admission requirements to match the useless output called 'Degree in Some BS Studies'.

You guys are missing the point. Everything depends on their US News rankings, but diversity was bringing their average SAT scores down. Now they can tell their diversity HS kids "hey, no need to take the test."

Asians and Whites had better take the test though!

It's all part of the diversity scam.

UChicago is (or at least was) famous for admitting a huge freshman class and then "convincing them" that they might be happier elsewhere.
