Doesn't one need to have social skills in order to lose them?
On one hand, I guess I should commend the people in charge of Break the Bubble for trying to get Millennials to get out of the house and actually speak to each other. On the other hand, it looks rather silly and pathetic to us older Gen X folks.
When I was growing up in the 80's and as a young adult in the 90's, I didn't need an app or a group to tell me to go talk to people. I went to bars, church groups, and other places where people congregated and talked to people. Smart phones and computers have been a blessing and a curse at the same time. We have the world's information at our fingertips, yet it has caused many the inability to verbally communicate with their fellow humans.
There is also the insane security parenting. "Go outside and play?" Without an armed escort? Well, unarmed parental person with a cellphone to call the state should anyone skin their knee or see a stranger or hear a word that upsets them.
They have never done anything their entire lives that wasn't scripted by authority figures.

The younger Millennials are becoming as introverted as Japanese young people.
Would be interesting to know if technology and absent parenting had anything to do with it?

I made the mistake of looking at the "testimonials" section of that site. You don't want to do that.
That's exactly what you're gonna do now, isn't it?
