Does MGTOW Make Sense?

I'm going to blind link to The Great One as he tries to answer the question: "Does MGTOW Make Sense?"  And by "blind link" I mean I will link to the guy without reading what he has to say or write about the topic because I'm sure it will provide some insights.

That being said you have to take what The Great One says with a cup of salt because he erroneously though the "Man from UNCLE" movie was not that good when it was a spectacular movie, very well done and played well to the original TV series.

Also, yes, this was merely a link as a substitute for writing an actual post because I've been busy with other stuff, namely hiking, having fun, and golfing.  Upon returning to the Northern Command I will return to a normal schedule, until the point in time my adventuring pulls me elsewhere.

The problem with MGTOW is people are using it as identity and ideology. MGTOW is an "anti" movement. 90 percent of it focuses on "being without evil women". Some of the MGTOW stuff, unfortunately, is true. But it should never be dwelled on. MGTOW only talks positives like having free time, working on yourself, etc. in very passing mention.

Hence, it is clickbait that attracts angry people who want to be in an echo chamber that validates how they feel instead of feeling better. You never hear a lot of MGTOW discussions on how nice that marathon video game session was or how exhilarating rock climbing with the guys was. Always griping about the thing they are supposed to not care about.

BUT - there is a valid tactic hidden in the clickbait anger memes.

Stripped of all the memes, jargon, and loathing, it's just what psychologists call compensation.

Compensation (psychology) - a strategy whereby one covers up, consciously or unconsciously, weaknesses, frustrations, desires, or feelings of inadequacy or incompetence in one life area through the gratification or (drive towards) excellence in another area.

Notice the psych definition does not go into DWELLING on the inadequacies or failures like MGTOW. No. It instead focuses on excellence in other areas. (Which ironically can cause success in the other areas as well)
