The "girl" in question is one of most infamous poster children for mental illness in modern history. No one who knows anything at all about her will see this as anything other than a pathetic ploy for attention.
And yes, she deserves EVERYTHING she's going to suffer for making this stupid move.
She was badly abused when she was a little child. Check youtube for what happened to her when she was a toddler (she was physically tortured for several years). So, yes there may be issues upstairs but there are also good reasons for all of the crazy behavior.

She ripped up a picture of the Pope because he represents the patriarchy and lessens child abuse. And then converts to Islam.
